Chewbacca 1/6 and PF idea

The teaser for the PF certainly looked sculpted. Still holding out hope the actual 1/6 will be fur.

If not I'll just stick to the custom route.

Even a sculpted 1/6th Chewie will give us a good base to build a hairy custom on.

The problem with that is if the hair is sculpted adding any hair to him will make to bulky of a figure.

I think the only 2 options are a very thin body with a suit; or a fairly normal proportioned one with hair individuallly applied.

I think the suit (like Barryo's and Brinn71's) is the most likely shot we have of Sideshow making a good Chewbacca. It they go with a fully sculpted one I will most likely pass as it just won't look right.

The last round of 12' Chewbacca's aren't terrible... but show the limitations inherent with a hair figure that large entirely sculpted.

Yeah, not quite what I meant... Assuming SS went all sculpted, the hands, feet, mouth, nose and eyes can all be used on, say, a DC direct body dremmeled down. Just like Barry did with his but with slightly better sculpted parts, at least in theory.
