Re: Chigger58's "Game Over Man" Gaming/Collectible Room.
Great collection. very nice setup
Thank you! Welcome to the boards!
You take some awesome pics. I am thinking about improving the quality of mine as well. Pass on any tips!!
Your dutch poses are pretty sweet!
I hate posing Dutch!
I enjoyed taking some extra shots of him for my collection but there is just something about that figure that makes me nervous. Thanks for the compliment though!
Picture wise, I don't have anything spectacular like some here. I'm using a point and shoot Canon Powershot Elph SD 870 IS. It's a nice camera for what it is, but I'm still experimenting with how to get the best shots for my environment and regarding the subjects...collectibles.
Mostly I've been experimenting by adding lightsources such as one tall lamp, a lamp without the shade on, and then of course the overhead light. I've been snapping all the recent photos against a backdrop (blankets) in my gaming room.
Then I upload the photos in my PC and start messing with some VERY basic HP editing software. Cropping, some lighting, exposure, black and white, etc. It's nothing like Photoshop or some of the stuff you see on here, very basic stuff.
Send them to Photobucket, upload them here, wala...some photos that get the job done but could use improvement!
I really appreciate the feedback you've given me and any more that other people provide in the future. Pics of these fantastic collectibles that people have bought, quality aside, are just fun to look at overall. I thoroughly enjoy looking at all the collections on this forum, large or small. I just like challenging myself to see if I can create something unique looking and that I'm really happy with. Makes you feel great when you achieve a shot you're REALLY proud of when you know you're not using a top of the line camera to do it!
Wow, impressive shot!
Great collection room, the 2 Detolfs flanking the TV look very cool. And the third Detolf in the corner with the posters looks great as well, love the colors.
Thank you and thanks for taking the time to stop in and comment.
The color of blue that I have on my walls is my favorite color besides black and the wife didn't think that was a good idea...so blue it was! So far it's gone really well with anything I've collected, especially my Batman collection.
