Alright, I looked at the photo's on the first page. There are quite a few I really liked, but I'll take a minute to give some constructive criticism.

You have a tendency to over-expose your shots. Take these two examples:

The detail in the faces is lost because of being over-exposed.

Do you have a way to adjust the exposure on your point-and-shoot?

When I discovered that I could lower the exposure on my camera, it made a huge difference in the quality of my pics.


Also, earlier in this thread King Darkness talked about the graininess of some of your pics. This is fixed my lowering the ISO setting on your camera. Check and see if you can. Never let it be higher than 400, and 100 or less is ideal.


I should mention that based on your new pics in the Mark IV thread, you might have started playing with these settings more already. We were talking about them there and it looked like you were applying what you learned.

Thanks man! Always interested in what people like. Some people prefer just the run of the mill clean shots and some prefer the more artsy stuff. I'm a little bit of both I guess.

Thank you for the CC! That's what I was looking for and it's really helped out!

The Batman shots were definitely when I decided I wanted to kind of catalog my collection. They were probably taken about a month and a half ago and I feel I've learned a lot about my camera in that time. I've been experimenting with light, setup, settings,...just about everything.

So far considering the way most of the Mark IV pics turned out I think I'm getting them correct now. I still take a bunch of photos that I end up tossing (maybe most of us do) due to what they actually look like when I am editing them on my pc. That and I'm still experimenting with settings like macro and super fine/fine on my point and shoot. It's fun, but time consuming (as you know) and the day that I can just set up and shoot and have them turn out great will be a welcome day!

I've thought many times about taking down some of those early photos because they aren't the best. However, it's good to remind myself how far I've come in such little time. I might set up those shots again, compare them to the old ones, and then either leave some comparisons or replace them on the thread.

Really appreciate the CC I've received from people here, yourself included of course, and I appreciate and understand the time it takes for someone to really comment and look through the items. I know there are much more fun things that people could spend their time looking at on the boards!

I was kind of wondering what your thoughts on it were. I knew it wasn't super popular when it was revealed.

I'd personally love to see them do a "fastball special" in a Premium Format style. Now that would be EPIC!

Oh I have something for you gaze upon that is WIP

any interest on a fastball special diorama, based on a joe madureira art but in their current costumes. a true 1/4 scale where colossus stands at 24-25 inches and wolverine about 12 inches since he will be squatting.
