Well to be fair... the first 37 pages seemed fairly positive :lol

BTW, just noticed this in his painted house head auction, wonder if the customer ever got his :lol

Here I have Photoshopped the head onto a House body that one of my customers has created to give you a feel for what the finished figure looks like... just waiting for the real thing. I'll update the photo when the head is in place. Hey, House stole James Dean's pants!!! Give those back! This is for reference only, you will receive one painted House head and cane.

And no, that's not unreasonable at all, and until recently there were semi-regular updates.

Where? There were a few spread out posts saying that there will be an update <insert date>. Those time frames went by and there was nothing.
No Ghostbusters
No Maximus
No Trek until other sculpts started popping up then he thru in a quick WIP and disappeared again.
No Gormans
.....................................etc........................etc....................etc..............

So whats the latest news..Anyone got their stuff..Surely there must have been a head sent to someone recently ???

i think a russian board member got one. can't remember his name. i think it was SirSpamAlot. apparently he was the only one who could reach chris through email so that is why he got one.

i heard the company that makes the special resin he was using to cast the maximus armor went out of business so until he can find a new company he's holding onto all the house and river heads too, just to be consistent.

If your willing to ask for updates costumeball I would greatly appreciate it. as I am at the end of my rope at knowing what to do. I have paid for: A River/Tam hs, A David hs, and 2 milla hs all upainted. I dont even think he was offically collecting for milla but was paying for david so thought what the heck just get it out of the way now. man feel like and idiot. that puts me over the 100.00 mark. I have no intention on waiting forever so it would be nice to have some sort of response.

I will Saya, I've already sent the e-mail so when I get a response I'll post about it.

Essentially, saying that he’s the “best you’re going to get at any price anywhere.” is saying that all other sculptors on the forum are inadequate compared to him. People like Mr. Barlow, Me, and AndyB. Etc… Are just paying around at sculpting and will never produce the quality he does.

And that pisses me off too, Spenser. (oh, and sorry I misspelled your name before) His House is absolutely not the best House. I would much rather have your Earl sculpt, Spenser (and I will buy one from you if I ever miraculously get a refund, but I'm not bothering to ask Chris any more, I'm much happier having just let it go, and letting what will be, be. Hell, hopefully my upcoming custom items will allow me the extra $ to invest in your good work, because it certainly IS good work.

I agree that the attitude he had coming in is a part of the problem, too. He made himself out to be much better than anyone else, and based on that Joker he did, I thought he was pretty good, and it was possible. However, when I saw the House sculpt I changed my mind.

I lost track of the number of times that we were told the Ray Stantz head was 'almost done'

(checks the Howes GB thread)

Hey gang!

With the Ray head so close to being revealed, (snip)

That was posted back on 1/25/09. The prior thread may have been even further back. As of July, still no pictures.

whoops!

but people are differant and that make for a more interesting life…
Agreed. No argument from me there.

Handshake accepted my good man! :D
Thanks Spenser. I always thought that it IS possible to have opposing views and still remain civil. It's just like friends going into a bar to watch the ball game and arguing vigorously about which team is better. They still come out of the bar as friends.

Can you give us any hint on what your item pertains to? :naughty

Well...Bank Robber Joker (well, any Joker or criminal, really) will enjoy the 2 different accessory/diorama decoration projects I'm working on- they will add realism to your displays. I'll get the first up for sale in the sale section before the week is out, I'm almost done with making it. (working on it as I read in fact). Once complete, It will be limited, I won't make any more of it because man, am I tired of scissors! The second item will be a few weeks later, I need to make my prototype and work out any kinks before I start producing, but all ingredients/materials are bought and waiting. I'm excited, I hope you guys will be!

I agree with this, too. We should always remember we are friends here first, our opinions come second. Our love of 1:6 stuff should always come first, and be what we have in common that makes this fun.

but then saw that other people with 18 month waits
I'm not making excuses for Chris about his delay but I think it couldn't have been 18 months. Chris joined this forum May 2008. That's about 15 months. He didn't start accepting commissions until maybe a month or so after joining.

It is 18 months when you use drama math. I'm sure if it gets to 12 months people will be saying 3 years.
