You probably got my cancelled one, I called in a few days ago. And I thought about whether or not it made sense to get another Superman as well. Unless youre an obsessive compulsive superman collector that collects anything and everything superman related, I dont think its really necessary. And as much as Im a CR fan, I can't settle for pvc, nor the awkward pose and the subpar resemblence. Im sure we'll get another one down the line. Maybe not anytime soon, but there will be another one made by either sideshow or another company. For now you got the best Superman statue ever made. Admire it in all its glory.

Thanks mate, you're right. I've just turned my attention on other collectibles after I gathered almost everything available from SS | Weta, concerning LOTR. So I've decided to get statues like Supes,WW,CW,BAT etc. I'm a newbie about DC/Marvel stuffs so I always appreciate these kind of tips.

I'm really torn about this PVC/Polystone situation. With all the other companies out there right now doing Polystone, I'm with those who are going to be putting their money elsewhere if this is Sideshow's new direction. The first time I remember this happening is with the Star Wars Droids. The MOS PF was really too much and now this one will have a PVC head. Although I haven't yet decided whether to cancel this one or not, I have to admit that I'm concerned for my other 16 pre-orders and, in a way, would love to cancel them and save myself the money. If I cancel this one, then I'll also be canceling the Keaton Batman since I was getting them to go together. At least I have the comic version (which is amazing).

I understand your point. Anyway I think I won't cancel the Keaton Batman. I find this amazing. Supes has too many "defects" (chess base, pvc, price) than Keaton Batman. Moveover I don't have any Batman figure yet (so I'm not in trouble concerning "duplicates").

Just make sure when you see these popular characters that go up for PO, that you really want it before you pull the trigger on them. Because there's always going to be a better statue made of said popular characters. And those licenses are definitely their golden goose. I myself didn't fall into the hype with the 3 variations of the incredible Hulk statues. The uninspired poses didnt do it for me. He's the type of character that should be in a rage pose with a rage portrait, and not hunched over and calm. So in another few years SS will do another set of Hulks and Im hoping we get a proper representation of him.

Ya see, when you have that many pre orders and youre not happy with one of them, it only makes sense to cancel it, for that money to be used on the other pre orders you actually want. Don't settle for less. Ive also got Keaton pf on PO and I planned to pose him with the CR pf. Thats not happening anymore, but the Keaton Batman PF is a keeper. Im keeping mine. Keep what you really think you'll like, and let go of the ones that youre already questioning. If youre questioning it, the answers already laid out in front of you. Plus with the sudden last minute notice with pvc, its really easy to get your nrd back.

Yeah I am in the same boat as some of you. I held on to my exclusive CR Superman past the nay sayers and the SDCC pictures because I want a CR Superman statue. However, with it being PVC now, I will always know it is PVC and it will bother me. I know polystone is fragile but it gives the piece, for lack of a better term, gravity. Statues are fragile, toys are not. I am probably going to cancel now because of the switch and pick up the regular Comic PF Superman go to with the Keaton Bats on preorder. So disappointed because this was my first ever preorder and purchase from Sideshow (the rest of my Sideshow pieces I picked up on the secondary market). Like the message above, do you think we will get our NRD back because of the switch?

I got my NRD back and they didnt hesitate giving it back to me at all. I was expecting more of a fight. But they knew they were in the wrong.

you need to escalate the issue. No one should have to lose an NRD for wanting to cancel this. Maybe shoot Alex a pm to resolve it.

In my case it's only $42, but I still have one more flex payment for Keaton plus shipping to Denmark so I would love it back. Its not like im asking them to refund it back to my bank account, I just want it transferred to Keaton. Any help to get my cash back would be much appreciated.

Did you make it specific that you werent properly informed that this item was made from pvc until after the fact that they posted on their website that it is indeed pvc? I made it a point to point that out to them before I told them I wanted my nrd transferred to another statue. I actually called them instead of live chat or email. Talking to them personally goes way further than them just shrugging you off through chat.

Me: "can I trasnfer my NRD to my other Pf on flex",
Sideshow: "No"
Me:"Please"
Sideshow: "No, we cannot transfer or refund a NRD"
Me:"Ok,thank you for your help,bye"
I would of loved to own this statue. But when my wife said "Is that supposed to be CR" I said to myself its time to stop brainwashing myself into liking the CR pf just because its a CR 1/4 and cancel the damn thing.

Yeah you are pretty well hosed then. Pretty much have to get them to do it at he time you call to cancel. No way they will go back and do it now. Just think of all the money you actually saved. Also, welcome to the club of those who have eaten an NRD.

I am sure this has already been stated on a previous post but I talked to a Sideshow rep today and they told me the only thing that will be PVC on the Reeves piece is the head. I am not sure how I feel about it.
