The more I look at this the more I think I could of lived with the portrait if he just had a different pose and body. And fully sculpted :)

The weak, gaunt looking body is the letdown for me on this one. I think the sculpt is pretty decent. Decent enough to get by, but the body is no way close to what Reeve actually looked like.

Agree with both of you. I know its been said before, but my concern is that is the proto is a squeaker in terms of the hS, what will we actually get home? I don't think this one can handle a few notches downward and still be viable overall. Just my opinion...

I think, at least from a distance, he looks quite good. However, I fear that it's only from this angle and not showing the awful chess piece base, which is really just a ridiculous way to add height to this figure (or a horrible play on him being the "king" of superheroes, although in this forum that's certainly a debatable comment). I really hope the shield stitching (which is true to the Reeve suit) pays off, and in person he doesn't look as awkward as in some of the photos.

idk, I think the body (proportion/size wise) looks very much like how Reeve was. Dude was not big like Cavil in MoS or Evans in Cap

I may still be undecided but if it was fully sculpted, that would've been an immediate pass w/o any consideration of potentially buying ever. I really dislike fully sculpted PFs. Those should be maquettes not PFs IMO

That's true but man the body on this is too skinny even for Reeve, especially since he was the heaviest Superman there was.

:exactly:

It was weird when they called the Iron Patriot a PF as it was confusing. Glad they changed it to 1/4 scale Maquette.
