I always sleep. On weekends I sleep till like 5pm

Really, you need to sleep when you're tired and try to keep a regular schedule. Reading a book before you go to bed each night can help. If you're in bed and can't fall asleep, you need to stop thinking about things(force yourself to stop thinking about stuff) or get up and watch TV or something and you'll probably get tired.

I heard milk can help you sleep also.

i usually work at night. sleep during the day. i'll be going to work in about an hour. i rarely see the sun. on my days off i usually still sleep during the day and am up all night. this is technically bad cuz there is nothing to do at night except drinking and partying. not a healthy lifestyle.

I'm like Wetanut, I've had insomnia since I was a kid. The only sure cure I found for it was grad school. Incredibly long days coupled with tons of homework and studying. Sheer exhaustion put me to sleep at a good time. But now that I have a degree and no job I found it has returned. I've found a peanut butter sandwich with a glass of milk and half an hour of reading helps me some nights.

Never dealt with insomnia. Always have trouble sleeping the night before a trip or when I was younger, Christmas. I don't really consider that insomnia though. I also rarely oversleep. If I have to be up at a certain time, I will wake up at or before that time. Doesn't matter if I go to bed at 3 and have to be up at 5. I will wake up.:lol:lol:lol

Ask your Doctor about Trazodone (Desyrel), it's an antidepressant that also helps with insomnia. In fact a lot of people use it mainly to target insomnia.

Takes about 7 to 14 days to take full effect unlike everything else that takes about 30 days. Also you don't feel the daytime sedation/drowsiness like the other antidepressants and sedatives out there. But of course everyone is different.

Ask your parole officer about crack-cocaine, it's an antidepressant for 20-30 minutes before you feel a crash and are at risk for self-harm like suicide. It does nothing for insomnia. In fact cocaine promotes insomnia and then you experience hypersomnolence 1-2 days afterwards.

Takes about 7 to 14 seconds to take full effect unlike everything else that takes about 14-30 seconds. You'll feel the daytime sedation/drowsiness so be careful driving to or from work. But of course everyone is different.

I have been meaning to try that crack-cocaine I have hidden in a balloon up my ass. I was saving it for a rainy day, but you got me craving.

I sleep about 5-6 hours every night, but it never seems that I ever feel rested from it. It was then I finally went to a sleep center for observation and found out I have sleep apnea.

So now I will be assigned a CPAP machine next week. I heard it's the best sleep you can ever get with it.

Good luck being able to sleep with one of those machines. My boss had one and found it very uncomfortable - plus you can only sleep on your back.

Yeah I've had insomnia for a while now also. I usually don't get to sleep any later than 3-4 A.M. If I have nothing to do for the day, I usually don't wake up till about 12-1 P.M. It's the same story really, my body is tired and I'll yawn and yawn, but my brain just won't shut down for me. It gets really aggravating, so I know where everyone is coming from.
