There was a SS 1:4 Endo on eBay last week. I asked the guy to send me a picture of the head so I could see the teeth... Didn't buy it.

Let's hope not..Sorry for the previous vent but being international and having this on order I gotta worry about high shipping and customs/VATs, getting this kind of updates with crappy pics and such is as bad as not getting any update.
Also, I've always stayed away from Terminator collectibles. Love the (first two) movies, but none of the statues around really do it for me. This Endo does have the new modern sleek design, detailed sculpt in all of his parts (like, inside the torso), the big gun, a simple pose and base, so it's pretty much the only Terminator collectible I could ever want. I want it to be as good as possible.

I'd suspect Prime 1 would be limited to 1/3 scale. CoolProps taking on Terminator would be great; but I don't see that as being massively likely. Chronicle are making a play for T:3, which is something.
The finish on this Endo isn't the chrome-look I would've liked, but I'd hope the pics aren't doing the piece justice. As for Sideshow; they're practically campers on this license - hopefully they won't hold onto the license forever. Surely licensors will be questioning the quality of the product/ROI? I mean - look at Chronicle. That's 5 pieces in the space of a year!

This is ridiculous. Someone posts bad photos, which make it look bad and so it's time to cancel everything? The products they've put out so far, have been high quality. Maybe you should base your orders off of that instead of the unknown. I'll wait until I receive this until I judge it.
Pics were not great, but one piece has really nothing to do with the other. Hopefully they post some good pics this week, after such a long wait for those pics it's no wonder everyone is concerned. It seems like quite a few people on the other board are getting charged final payment for it too so this may be shipping soon.
I'm not sure if some people misunderstand on purpose, or they're just genuinely slow.
I like Chronicle, I have Cain, spent a ton of cash on it. But if something looks bad... it looks bad. Deal with it. Yoh can blame bad pictures just to an extent, after that, it's all delusional excuses. Go into the Arkham Knight's thread and see for yourself how it looks good even in crappy blurred pictures.
Now, i'm still not sure what's so hard to understand, but... the point is that Chronicle had this in house for days and didn't take pictures, which should be a priority for them. I can take cellphone pictures in natural light that give a very VERY close idea of how the piece looks, and it takes what, maybe half an hour.
They said they had it on display at Wonderfest but seriously, none of us was there. None of the attendee took even just one good picture of it. Chronicle didn't even take a good picture of it. So, bottom line, we're still here trusting the word that other people liked it - which to me is non relevant, "other people" seem to like crap that I wouldn't spend $1 on, that's why I'd rather have pictures and not some generic hearsay.
Some people, both here and on the other board, are really swimming im the kool aid.
And I know, they booked a photograph for a set of professional pics, it can't come soon enough.
As for the Paypal payment, I was charged. I picked the deposit+final balance and still got charged, but I think it was an automatic thing from Paypal, no ill intentions on Chronicle side imho, at all.

Over-reactions here imo. Off the bat - it isn't chrome-like, or much like the highly-reflective finish of the Endo on some Genysis stills. Shame. But the 1:1 Endoskull wasn't either; and the paint app was great otherwise. Still prefer that to the SS BD.
I'm expecting the same here; there's been 8 paint refinements that have taken place; and the Endo looks quite good in other pics by Clutch. The takeaway? This is the only high-end Genysis Endo you're gonna get. Light bounces off this thing nicely. If it's chrome you need - wait for the Prime 1 Endo.

Sorry, I don't agree.
A few things: we were promised a screen accurate Endo. No amount of debate will convince me that the Endos are that dull on screen. There's no need for actual chrome, there are chrome paints that give a metallic finish without chrome plating.
Other than that, I won't settle with something because "it's the only XY high end representation", that's just... wrong. I would say the same about every product by every other company, it would be hypocritical from me to change my mind just for Chronicle.
And what I see in that pic is not "good", sorry, it's a grey (flat grey) endoskeleton with a gloss coat. It's a very detailed sculpt with a mediocre paint and definitely not something I'd pay $500+shipping+whatever fees/VATs I'll have to pay.
Again: from these pics, including the last, because we don't have other pics even if the damn thing has been around for weeks.

Totally agree.
No camera or lighting will save the poor paint app and terrible details.
But thankfully P1S is making their own endo, it gonna be way better than this.
It's funny to me someone blames sideshow for such a long, long time but eventually their products turn out to be no where better.
