Out of interest, will these be the first samples, or have you had some painted versions that you weren't so happy with? It's fine either way, as a paying customer it is very nice to know you're working on improving your products even further despite being deep into production.

any updates on this, originally they said august shipping, customer service never advises you when its delayed, kinda dissapointed in the way chronicle does business keeping you in the dark. very shady

Just because you're to lazy to call or email them does not make them shady. Yea, when I want to find out the status of something I've bought, I don't contact the company I bought it from, I go on an Internet forum and insult the company. I'm all for calling out shady business practices, but Chronicle hasn't shown itself to be operating, in that manner.....ever. Just a 100% stupid post.

I think dark pictures are just a trend, other companies use them also for whatever reason, I'm not sure it actually enhances the metallic finish at all. I'd prefer bright/clear pictures, but they do look very good regardless. I may have to cancel now I've ordered the P2 maquette, I'll have to work out my finances like an adult.

I'd like to see an actual close up shot in natural light so I can decide if the metallic finish is there or not... can't tell much from these pics.

I have not kept up on all of the paint conversations, but it appears to have the same (along the lines) as the skull/bust.

Supposedly they delayed these to get the paint better than the busts. I hope so, the busts look good, but there is room for improvement to look more like their 1:1 piece.
