Super Freak
It'd be nice if, just once, people wouldn't freak out over the first pics of collectible that were taken with a cell phone in horrible lighting.

It never fails. Someone gets a statue, sets the statue on a table in a room with a desk lamp for light, digs out their 10-year old flip phone, posts the pics, and people start complaining with choruses of "Cancelled!" and "Another horrible statue by ______ !" If quality pics start popping up and the statue is ****, then it's ****--but these "sky is falling" posts based on bad pics gets old.
It'd be nice if people would calm down until this gets into more hands and we see better pics. This is such a typical "sky is falling" reaction to initial pics of a piece. Even if it's not up to some people's standards, the bitching and moaning about it isn't going to change the result of this piece now. A lot of people that are complaining didn't even order it.
Lol! "Bait & switch" is so unfairly alarmist
Remember when you said this about the Chronicle Collectible 1/4 Endoskeleton?
. . . . . . . and what happened when people received their statues? It mirrored the same poor quality shown in those preliminary photos. Also, those T-Rex photos are of two different statues - one professionally shot and the other with a cell-phone but either way, it's pretty evident that a professional camera wouldn't transform that statue into what Paul showcased as his production statue.
Like I said, if the statue is **** then it's ****--but these pics aren't the ones that should make people's minds up. You act like Chronicle has never made a quality product. I don't know how many pieces you've ordered from them, but they've put out some outstanding statues/busts. Every collectible company has had bad products, but Chronicle has always dealt with any problems fairly and quickly--which is more than I can say for some other companies. If you want to be the guy that overreacts every time some bad pics pop up then be that guy. I think it shows immaturity in the hobby for a collector to not have the patience to wait for consistent in-hand pics before throwing a fit, but you do you. I guess I'm just tired of going into a thread in which I was hoping to see good pics of a product I ordered, and instead, finding bad pics followed by the (what seems to be) inevitable freak out and company-bashing.
Looks I like struck a nerve instead.
Now I'm really worried...
