As others have mentioned already, the boring pose is on purpose. This is basically a copy of the movie maquette they used when filming.You can look up pictures of Jurassic Park behind the scenes and there is this rex, in multiple sizes. Pretty cool I think. I bought an unpainted one years ago on eBay. Huge and very cool.
