Don't even compare the Sideshow version above, from the photos on their site. Below is what the new ones look like and why I shipped mine back right after I opened it. It never came out of the box and the plastic was never removed from its face. You can clearly see why, and it wasn't an anomaly. Sideshow told me themselves that this was normal so there was no point in exchanging it. Full refund and I bought a HCG bust instead.

Wow!!! Well I already know you can't trust SS with the prototype pictures vs what you actually get, but damn. No way in hell that's worth $580.
I will most likely go with Chronicles bust for all of the reasons I've already mentioned.

I am tempted to wait and see what the price will be for the 1:1 full Endo they will offer. Seeing how clean and perfect the bust is looking I can imagine the full Endo will look amazing.

One thing I've learned from Chronicle so far with the pics I've seen of the Cain replica customers have started receiving, the final product from them looks every bit as perfect as the photos they show of their prototypes.

In the meantime I've come to the opinion that you pay Sideshow only the name but NOT for quality. 2 Busts from them (Iron Man and T-800) have dead eyes...)

The Chronicle Genesys Terminator could look great but I don't get it: We have the year 2015 with 3D printers and everything your heart want's to have but NOBODY of those companies is able to put s.th. better on the led eyes than an ultra cheap looking piece of plastic? No, thanks!

I had to modify my original T-800's eyes and this is what those companies should sell to us, their paying customers! :)

everyone seems to always find something to complain about...

These skulls are made from the one done by legacy effects and finished the same way the film ones are done. They also changed every aspect of this endo, yes it looks close but it was pretty much completely redone and 3d printed. I love the added neck details since it was always odd to me how the neck moved with pretty much nothing controlling it.

I will be getting this for the collection for sure.

Tons of people wanted something similar to the T600. Yea, the finish will surely be perfect, but when you think about the thousands that already have a Endoskull they are happy with, whether it be the HCG or SS version, there isn't enough here to justify buying this.

BECAUSE they have great possibilities with 3D printing technologies it is a shame that the eyes are done so lousy! They simply could easily have designed the eyeballs with an integrated mechanical iris like in the original movie props, print it out, stick red Leds behind the iris and clear lenses on the front of the eyes. That would be what I call "highly detailed"! >20 years after the original movie props they still come up with toy eyes!? Sorry, this is not for fans! The only thing I like is the neck detail and the mechanics and the metallic finish.

I don't know how anyone could be happy with a SS Endo skull, especially at that price.. but ok, to each his own I guess.
It just seems like saying there isn't enough here to justify getting one is like saying "I already have a DVD copy of _____, why should would I buy the Blu-Ray version?" :dunno

You wouldn't want a better, sharper, higher quality version?

Sure the Chronicle's bust may not be for everyone. For me, I never purchased an Endo skull before because all of them so far have had a lot of flaws one way or another in my eyes. Those horrible, cheap looking teeth SS tries to get away with or the boring base which is just a neck.

For those who have never purchased one, or are looking for a much more professional take on it.. you can't go wrong with the price of $499. Especially knowing its coming straight from Legacy's master. Paul also confirmed the teeth will be acrylic, so massive extra points over SS's version there.

The thought of owning a clean skull for a reasonable amount of money is very, very tempting. Think i'd prefer a 1/4 full-body, or 1/2 torso though. Hoping Chronicle give us an idea of what they're planning on releasing!
That's part of what is so exciting about what Chronicle is offering here. They have a 1/4 full body that is actually being made by Legacy themselves, can't beat that for accuracy. Paul mentioned it just came in last week so hopefully we'll be seeing pictures and getting the price for that one soon.

Awesomeness. SS don't impress me that much these days, so would take a chronicle endo over theirs for sure.

Does CallMe_Snake work for Chronicle? We get it, you like this.

There's nothing wrong with the SS Endo and anyone who owns it, original with good teeth, doesn't need this.

Hate this Genisys design. Looks skinny and awkward. I imagine the quality will be great though. Hopefully they make a T1/T2 version later on.

Haha, no I don't work for Chronicle.
I'm just extremely happy to see a company finally take pride in the products they offer and put so much work into creating a solid and accurate replica.

Unlike Sideshow.

As I said, sure it's not for everyone. If you're happy with what you've got, good for you.

Don't buy Chronicle's version

..but if that's the case, why bother looking at and commenting on for that matter, a post devoted to this product?

I just can't understand why anyone would want to pay more for that lousy looking replica Sideshow has up for pre-order right now.

That pic shown of those awful and cheap looking yellow teeth? $580 plus shipping for that!? Got to be kidding me.

Chronicle wil Not be making anything from T1 or T2. Sideshow has the rights. They only have the License for Genisys. From what I've read they will be producing more props and replicas in the first year than what Sideshow has done in the last 10 years of owning the rights for T2!

You seem to be only interested in dissing the Sideshow Bust and promoting the Chronicle offering, so why bother?

The Bust I bought years ago is fantastic. I, like everyone else, have been waiting for the full reveal of this product and I don't think it's got anything to offer over the Sideshow version :D

Really? Nothing to offer over the SS version at all? Nothing? Not price? Not part count? Not Teeth?! Come on, even you can't defend SS's teeth on any version they've made. You're kidding yourself if you think otherwise.

Yes, I'm dissing the SS bust. Because I think it's a sad excuse for a replica. The teeth are an absolute joke, even the "good" teeth you seem to think are perfectly fine.
I can't find one single example of those teeth looking anything but jacked up. Even the one pic you posted trying to show how bad the new teeth are, show how bad the original is compared to what Chronicle is doing.

The images speak for themselves...

Paul touched on the topic of the paint on these a little in the other forums..

"We are going for screen accurate, the original that Legacy produced is all paint, no real chrome plating was used. We'd like to go for screen accuracy and us the alclad process.."

Looks like chrome to me...
