Interesting, sure nothing is perfect but it doesn't hurt to try for it. :)

Back on topic..
Paul addressed the issue of the eyes on the Endoskulls and how the new version is being handled differently

Regardless of how you feel about the Genisys redesign, you've got to admit it's refreshing to see a company put this much effort into making sure their replicas are authentic.

And with any luck, T:G turns out to be at least quite good! Yeah, I reckon i'm in for this. Will pass on a 1/4 guardian, but will be keeping an eye out for the endo 1/4 - that's a piece i'm really looking forward to seeing. Also interested to see what scale Chronicle tackle the JP T-Rex in!

Right on. I'm really curious what they have planned for Jurassic Park. Paul still hasn't confirmed if the license will be just the original or cover all JP films. Perhaps they're still hammering out the details. Either way, their track record for working closely with Legacy(Winston) and Tippett Studios has me really psyched for the possibilies with a Jurassic Park license.

I'm being cautiously optimistic about Genisys, I was definitely horrified with those first few publicity shots that were released. (That was a mistake by the marketing department for sure).:slap

The trailer actually turned out looking better then I was expecting. :/
Who knows, I have to imagine it will be better than Salvation if for no other reason than having Arnold back.

Back to the bust..

Yes, more teeth discussion... Lol :panic:
Anyone tired of hearing about Endo teeth should probably skip this post. :pfft:

Paul addressed how the teeth are being handled as well as the originals

Lets address the Terminator Skull Teeth.

When Stan Winston created the Endoskull the Teeth were molded into the skull, meaning they were cast with the skull and not a separate piece.

SWS then painted the teeth on each casting, this is the way the teeth were created for T1 & T2.

When I created the XFX, HCG, Sideshow skull we removed the teeth from the skull casting. We then got a casting of Arnold's teeth from SWS. We cleaned up the castings and grafted them into the skull replica.

I designed the way the teeth attached to the skull on the gumline using a tray system. Over the years during different productions on the Endoskull, the teeth got worse and worse....

For Genisys, the skull was all digitally printed along with the teeth. The Teeth were made on a tray just the way I did them back in 1999. But the teeth on the Genisys skull are really nice and don't look all fake like later versions of the Endoskull.

I also had Carl Lyon do all of the castings on the 1-1 Skull prototypes. By having Carl create the acrylic teeth castings, we got the correct translucency to the teeth.

Good to know..:yess:

This is pretty much a sure thing for me, the price is incredibly reasonable in my opinion.
I've wanted an Endo skull for a long time but never liked the flaws I've seen in everything that has been offered up until now.

The only thing that give me pause is I'm curious what the price will be for Chronicle's full size Endo. I've really wanted a 1/1 full body Endo but the price has always been really hard to justify. I'm curious to see what price range they will be able to bring it in at.

Boils down to is it worth getting a bust for $500, or making the leap into getting the whole thing. Hmmm...

New pic posted by Paul, I love how sharp and precise this piece is looking.

Not to keep harping on the teeth, but I've got to say they look pretty good from this angle.

Really like what I'm seeing. :yess:

I still don't like the black plastic part of the base, but this is so damn nice, I might have to get one I think...

It's chrome paint, exactly the same as the real prop. Alclad is hard to picture but looks superb in person.

yep. I have a custom colossus statue painted that way. it really pops. but the painter told me it was a $!@# to paint. hopefully there will be no issues in hand with this.

Yeah, it certainly can be. The most time consuming part is masking, that may take 3-4hrs and the actual painting could be 20 mins. But seeing as these are all the one colour it shouldn't be too difficult. The biggest issue with Alclad however is that because it is so unbelievably fine, it shows up every little imperfection underneath. This means that these will have to be cleaned up and prepped properly before the paint goes on. Chronicle are confident the factory they use can do it however so I guess we'll have to wait and see. They use the Toynami factory, same as Cinemaquette I believe?

since I don't have a regular Endo skull anymore, I may go after this one since the older SS versions are prolly more money. Of course, this actually having a ES counts for something too.

Nice - I already have a Sideshow one so I'm not in, but it looks good. Assume the eyes are battery lit with no ac adapter.

Anyone know if they ship internationally? Can't see on their site. I'd snap this up without hesitation if it was only $500 for me, but for £500 I'll have to think about it.

I'm surprised anyone is buying the Sideshow ones given how the teeth on previous ones looked.

For the two guys above who said they have the current Sideshow bust on order...it SUCKS! Look back a page or so and you'll see a photo of mine and why I returned it. Other than the slight changes with the Chronicle bust, and the Genisys label, it's much better and much cheaper. I don't know either one of you, but if you're into the Terminator, and you want a really nice Endo bust, you're going to be severely disapointed with the new Sideshow Bust. It sucks!
