Trust me it isn't any better in person. We all saw it at SDCC last year it the face looks just as heinous in person.

Actually I couldn't disagree more. Aside from the over long beard, it looks excellent in person, one of the better Ford likenesses out there.

I'm sure it's not sold out. It works differently than Sideshow.

They make a very small amount at a time and fill a certain number of orders. Once those are sold they make a few more... they cannot afford to make pieces they aren't selling.

I got on the 'wait list' for the Alien and T2 and had the orders filled very quickly.

It doesn't look bad in person and the likeness IS there.... but for $2,000.00 and released at a time where there is a glut of (better) INDY product available and on the horizon this is a total drop of the ball by Cinemaquette.

I have absolutely zero interest in the piece now.

You guys just got shot down by the dave.:lol

Um, not really. I still stand by my opinion that the SS likeness blows it away and on top of that you have an extra $1700+ in your pocket at the end of the day. Seems like a no-brainer to me.

Message boards are about peoples opinions (some more objective then others).

I desperately wanted this of all the figures from cinimaquette to turn out good. If they had hit the likeness right on like SS I would have purchased it today. If you just saw the head sculpt by itself you would say it just looks like one of those knockoff sculpts from a lesser company. It would at the very best "slightly resemble" someone who was supposed to look like Indy and that's about it. I thought that and I hadn't even seen the SS PF yet obviously. Now that I have, and calculating the price difference, I'd call the cinimaquette a colossal waste of money. Which is a shame, because if the likeness had matched or exceeded SS's I would have paid probably 1K for it which is realistically what I think should be charged for it. 2K is pure madness, only people with money to burn, a strong desire for 1/3 scale, or have a hard on for the dynamic pose would even consider it.

Cinemaquette's are for a different breed of collector, one peice or difintive piece collector,I should say.As for Indiana's likeness,it may be a little off but he looks far more realistic as a person than Sideshow's PF's.The outfit is A-1

That said,I would never pay that kind of cash for a Indiana statue/figure,but I sure as hell am going to get the Alien and Predator CM's.

These are way too expensive for me. I own 2 CMs and I do think they are great but when I think about how much they cost I nearly want to cry.

I was going to buy the Jack Sparrow CM but honestly I couldn't bring myself to shell out that kind of money for something that will just sit there. Different strokes for different folks I guess. I just prefer to get a great product from Sideshow for a much better deal. Less buyers remorse. :lol

It does look pretty good for a PF but I as I said before, the CM"s outfit looks far better and superior.

Well, you're wrong. Drop on any Indy Gear forum and you will see that the costuming on the PF is far more accurate than the Cinemaquette's. Or, better yet... just watch RAIDERS and see for yourself.

Also, the buttons on the CMQ statue suffer from Medicom Zipper Syndrome. They are huge.

i checked out the pics on their site for the indy but was reading about and looking at pics of the Predator and that thing is 32" tall! that sounded like a lot but when I pulled out the tape measure and measured 32" up from the kitchen table it really hit home at how big that bad boy is, yikes! try it.

It's over 2 1/2 feet,jeepers!

If I do get it I will almost definitely get rid of all my HT Preds, except for maybe my P2.
