Maybe the production piece will have a better likeness. The arnold terminator from cinemaquette is still my all time favorite collectible from that movie and has an awesome likeness...But if it stays like that what a f'n waste of a 2 k...

The T-800 Arnold piece is indeed awesome... but their stuff has gone downhill since then. First Aragorn, and now this. And those prices! :monkey4 :monkey4 :monkey4

Yeah I forgot about Aragorn, he was pretty disgusting...:monkey4

how many misses can cinemaquette afford to take as this must be expensive to develop & I sure they can't afford to have them just sit in a warehouse

I don't think they sit in a warehouse. They make these things in batches of 50 from what I understand.

As long as they make their Predator a masterpiece, I'm ok with their other failures !

Isn't the Cinemaquette line put out by Toynami? The same hacks that brought us the "Masterpiece Collection" Alpha fighters from Robotech that would literally crumble in your hands when you tried to transform them? Haha! $2k...that's awesome. And yet, I'll bet some of you have your preorders in... :lol :monkey3

The Sideshow version is better than the Cinemaquette!

So is the price something they just announced, I don't really follow CM and figured the price was known the whole time.

But either way $2K is just ridiculous, no matter how nice it is (and its not even that great) its just not worth anywhere near that amount. Especially when you can get a better looking version from Sideshow.

I feel kind of bad for them... two years ago the Indy proto was one of the THE highlights of Comic-con. No one had seen anything like it - the likeness wasn't perfect but one of the best for its time. The clothes, the accessories... all great stuff.

It really shows what skill it takes to pull this stuff off and Sideshow have done an amazing job.

I still might consider it if the likeness improves but hats off to Sideshow for nailing this license. Dare I say it is because the love comes through in all the work and details: all the way from the business end to Trevor's awesome sculpts? Sideshow set out to nail this and they did. Hat's off to them!

It's their own fault. They drug their feet and missed their window of opportunity by several months. Also, the end product is apparently many steps down from what they actually first unveiled.

I never did like the Cinemaquette Indiana Jones. I always wanted to hold out to see if SS would do a p.f., which we lucked out and they did.

Now, I am adopting the same philosophy for Captain Jack Sparrow. I REALLY want a Captain Jack in my collection. But, I don't care for the Cinemaquette one (likeness is off, and no hat), plus it's too expensive. I'm holding out to see if SS does a p.f.

I've only ever payed that kind of money for one collectibles and it was something truly perfect in my mind. If this was truly perfect I'd consider it too bad for CM Trev and SS did it for way the heck less.
