I am pinning this thread until the arc runs it course, one of the best discussion we had in sometime....also not to mention #5 hits tomorrow...woot...

Been away from Comics for a while, last one I remember picking up religiously were the Identity Crisis books from DC....I'd like to get back in and the Civil War seems like a great place to start, can I just read the Civil War books or are all the tie-ins essential as well? I wonder if they are going to GN the whole thing?

Glad to see it stickied, a thread like this that manages to stay on topic deserves the honor of sticky. Can't wait for tomorrow! After that only two more issues, amazing how quickly it's gone by.

Issue 5 was a bit of a let down other than the return of the Punisher. I'm going to see Civil War and 52 to their ends and then I will be getting out of comic book collecting. The week 52 ends is the day I stop completely. The overall landscape has just changed to much for me over the past two years and I just don't have any interest in it after 24 years.

Just got around to reading #5 this afternoon. I saw Spidey coming over since #1, but it was good to see him have a reason to come over (plus, he gave iron man a good punch before he left). should be an interesting #6.

I'm getting ready to join the fun. I picked up 1-5 the other day and I also picked up Civil War:XMen #1-4 since they had those as well. I'm not sure why since I'm not an overly huge X-Men fan. Since I did all that, I couldn't resist getting Marvel:Secret War either. :wacky

I'm still waiting for the TPB to read this, cant wait !!!:monkey5

That is true, I don't want to buy all the side issues to civil war, need the updates.
I've actually been buying all the side issues, but Mithrandir usually knows all the inside spoof to all the new releases. This is the first comic book series that I am reading in almost 6 years.
