I love that Thor art!! I have been really taken with guys who have a cartoony edge to some of their stuff lately, like Ed Mcguiness, and this Thor stuff looks like a really cool take. If JMS is writing, count me in! Didn't this artist do a legion book a little while ago! Thanks for the art!

Civil War #5 was a bit of a let down, but I haven't been reading the tie-in books, so it felt like I have missed some stuff (somebody explained to me the Daredevil thing). The first four issues felt much more self contained, though. I haven't been this excited about reading comics in a long time! thanks again Mith!

ARTIST OF THE YEAR :STEVE McNIVEN
So says Wizard Universe...........

He is the artist behind Civil War........

Such as this......

RE: Civil War Gallery

Your guide to every comic in this mega-event

With an event as big as Civil War, we know that keeping track of all the titles involved can be a tough task. To help you out, we've posted every standard and variant cover for all Civil War titles. And to make things easier, we've also posted them in chronological order so you can see where each title fits into the larger story.

I haven't started reading yet. I got all the issues and tie-ins I wanted as in the actual Civil War comics, the New Avengers, Ironman, Spiderman, Captain America, Wolverine, X-Men and you guys talked me in to Punisher. Now I'm holding off starting to read these because I'm not sure if I should try and round up ALL the tie-ins, even the ones I don't much care for such as She-Hulk, Young Avengers, Black Panther, Fantastic Four, etc. However, it's getting kind of expensive since the last time I colleced comics, they were around $0.10 - $0.50.  :monkey5

Great link....................

Did anybody read Crossgen comics? I know the company tanked, but Steve McNiven cut his teeth on a book called Meridian that was really good, and the art was gorgeous. You could probably find back issues dirt cheap!

Wow, I just went through and realized I have every 1st printing of all of those. Well, except for 4 of the Turner sketches, I guess I should try and track those down.

GREAT SITE...I think im going to wait till the series is finish and then hopefully buy some side books on this arc. I get the main civil war books, but too many to buy.

Am I less of a fan/collector because I have Spiderman: Decisions #529-#532 compilation rather than the four individual comics? :monkey1

Fritz my dear lad, the fact that you would simply hint that you were a fan/collector and admit to buying trade paperbacks/compilations is an insult at the very least..........:D

Eh, for the most part, I myself get the individual issues. Except for The Ultimates.........I buy the TPB of that one. But most of my comics I have subscriptions. The mini's I pick up at my local comic shop, which is not really all that local seeing as how it is 45 minutes away.

Either way the comic company is still getting their money for the issue, whether it be in TPB form or direct issue.

Yeah TPBS are an easy way to pick up a full story without having to keep going to the comic shop every month to hunt down every issue. I used to collect all my comic books as individual issues, but these days I just wait for a collected edition.

Unless it's something I really can't wait to read like Civil War, I've been buying the individual books for that.
