Awesome signature and quote DA! Awesome mate!

I read that he turned down the lead role in High Noon...... Glad he did too. I couldn't even imagine anybody else in that role except Cooper. He was perfect and that performance is one of my favorites by him.
Thanks manAwesome signature and quote DA! Awesome mate!
Yes, High Noon is one of my favorites also, and I can't see anyone else in the role but Cooper.
Interestingly enough, John Wayne didn't like the tone that that movie set. Baron background, no support from the townspeople, etc. it was a turning point for westerns which had always identified the good, and not abandonment, leaving one man to stand alone. That's why he throws his badge down at the end. Powerful movie. But it did signify change, and paved the way for Man with No Name, Wild Bunch (remember that one?) and others...
Looking good Joel. I would lengthen the face while keeping the width and thin the nose a tad and I think you got him down perfectly. Nice work man
Cheers DA, I think a lot of it is it being un painted and the angle, you wait for it to be painted!
It wasn't a knock brotha and I think it's looking great. I know it will look awesome when you finish it and I look forward to seeing the completed sculpt
I know mate! I did not take it as one! I just thought I would point out when my Head Sculpts are un-painted, they ook different eg the noses always look wider!
Great job ! I agree with DA; maybe thin the nose just slightly. Everything else is on !
It's all good
Also, just scored High Plains Drifter on Blu Ray for $10 today and plan on watching some more Eastwood tonight
I had fun watching the Duke in Rooster Cogburn last night too
I'm addicted to westerns
With that Trevor sculpt, I wouldn't be surprised if you watched Eastwood westerns all month !
Old movies is where it's at. I love em.Thanks ever so much! Do you reckon? I just primed it and it looks right to me! We will have to see!
Nice! I actually watched HPD for the film time recently! It is really great! Nice! I can see that for sure mate!
That is exactly what I have been doing
Old movies is where it's at. I love em.
Loving the Josey Wales hair on the far right Really nice work on them all, but that one looks really spot on imo.
The debate will always be there and I hate to always pick a favorite, but he is at the top of most people's list. I'm an old timer, always picking the Duke first, but that doesn't mean that Clint isn't just as great, or better when it comes to movies. My love for the Duke dates back to my early childhood watching his movies. John Wayne was like a god in my young eyes and that has never changed. Always the good guy out to beat the bad guys. Even when he was an a-hole in some of his movies, in the end his good heart always shined at the end. For this reason he will always be my Favorite.
I was not allowed to watch all of Clint's movies as a young kid because his movies have always been more gritty with adult content. For this reason I ended up watching a lot of them when I got older. I did watch Rawhide though, which I loved, but he wasn't the boss, so he wasn't as cool in my eyes. Being the boss/leader is where it's at
I was not a huge fan of the spaghetti western at first, but learned to love them later on in life. In fact Dirty Harry was my favorite Eastwood movie for a long time, but that has changed over the years. With The Man With No Name trilogy taking the top spot. He is my number 2 guy on my list of favorites, even though he is so bada$$. There is no denying that he is in a league of his own acting, directing, & composing music and really leaving his mark with an unbelievable career. I just like to say that I love both and will always enjoy watching either man with a six shooter strapped to their leg.
Congrats on getting Blondie. Amazing figure. For me it was reverse. Was always a fan of Clint. It wasn't till my teens that I grew to also be a fan of John Wayne. Those two are in a class all their own. That is exactly what I have been doing

You need to watch more Duke films Chisum was a good movie, but not his best stuff. You need to watch some young Wayne movies, before he had a lung removed and could actually walk and talk without gasping for air. The Duke had a tough time in his later movies cause of health issues, but still managed to make great films. In fact, one of his best movies was his last called The Shootist. I recommend watching itVery true! I have watched barely any JW films to be totally honest there but the one's I have seen have been good, not favorites but good! I guess the only one that really sticks with me or sticks with me the most is Chisum, not a bad film at all and the theme is classic! Clint Eastwood is the only Western Star who I really enjoy, although it is a clash between The Dirty Harry films and the Dollars trilogy. I think all in all I prefer the DH stuff to be perfectly honest with you. I love the second one, Magnum Force! That is a favorite that is for sure!
Cheers mate! Yeah! The Josey Wales one has the most to it in my opinion as well!
Wow, great to see you in here Yeah, my Man With No Name bash is almost done and I'm just waiting on a few more items.Congrats on getting Blondie. Amazing figure. For me it was reverse. Now, back to Clint, I think the first 2 DH movies are fantastic, but loose it from 3-5. All 3 Leone movies are fantastic. That is why they take the top spot now, plus I just love westerns.

I would completely agree that both men contributed so many films & that they could be considered the best of the west
Now, I'm waiting for Charles Bronson fans to chime in and tell us that Once Upon A Time in The West and Harmonica is the greatest ever
