Re: Classic Comedians - Laurel & Hardy, Marx Brothers, Stooges, Hope/Crosby, Martin/L

Here are a couple of resin model kits I came across of Ralph and Ed from the Honeymooners.

Although they are a bit smaller than 1/6 scale, they look pretty cool. I'm not going to buy them, but I thought I'd post if anyone had an interest. Here are the pictures and the link:

I really like the look and design of those! :yess:

I found these miniature halogen lamps at the local hardware store and thought that they would be a nice touch to add to Stan and Ollie's car...

At some point, I'd still like to add some final detail to the car. Maybe add a horn and/or add highlight to the door borders, etc...

They look great! Perfect scale too!

Headlights are a really nice touch!

This car is turning into a thing of beauty. Great job on the detailing so far, Jerry!

Hey Jerry...

I may have found the perfect car for Laurel and Hardy, I'm just not sure of the size. If you have time could you possibly take a photo of your car next to a soda can so I can compare the size of yours in comparison to this ?

Hi Jim,

Here are some pics. The car you found looks great, but it may be a touch small. If you have (or can get) specific measurements, we can compare them...that would probably be the safest bet...

Wow! That was fast!

Thanks so much for taking the time to take some pics. You're right it's way too small. I'm still looking for one just a bit larger than yours. The search continues.

Thanks again for posting those shots.

I hope you find it! The fun is in the searching...

When I was looking, I also did searches on decanters because there were some larger antique cars featured as bar displays...

Geronimo, just caught your post on the Honeymooners and thought you might like to see my rendition of them.

Cheers,
Peter.

Ralph and Ed are looking great!

Are you making a bus driver's hat for Ralph? After all he "brives a dus."

Hey Everybody!

I just found a seamstress here in Sedona who is willing to take on the Abbott and Costello Meet Frankenstein Jackets.

I will be meeting with her tomorrow to work out the details. I've got to get some reference pics for her today. I can't wait to finish up this long in the works project!

Wish me luck...

That's great news! Does that mean you will be firing up the old thread? Please post pics as you get them...I know this is something you've been waiting for...:hi5:

Yes the old thread will be resurrected! I have some plans in my head for McDougal's House of Horrors. I just have to find a painter once the jackets are done so I can get the heads painted.

If my seamstress does well with Bud and Lou, I plan on using her for Stan and Ollie's street clothes. I tried sewing their shirts but ran into problems with the collars.
