Hasbro already made the Three Stooges and they were fairly good. They were an exclusive for FAO Schwarz a number of years ago.

Dammit! Now that's another set of figures I have to track down on eBay. I'm REALLY starting to hate this whole store-exclusive trend, particularly when most of those stores don't even exist outside of the U.S.

:banghead

Addendum:

Never mind. I took a look at the Hasbro Stooge figures on eBay and I can't say I'm all that impressed with them. I think I'd much rather see what Sideshow could do with the license instead.

Expressive Designs put out thier Great Entertainer Series 20 years ago. Produced in porcelain and painted in a silver screen black and white style, they were nice. However, like most things out on the market the likeness was off. The best thing about the line was the range of charactors they produced.

Speaking of the Stooges... I just found out that Sony is releasing all of the Stooges Columbia shorts in chronological order in collections!!! (Don't know how I missed these!!!) They are up to volume 4!!! Finally!!!!!! :rock :rock :rock

I picked up Volume 1 from Amazon for 13.99 two weeks ago. which was what I was watching when I started dreaming about some Sideshow Stooges Premium Format figures. :idea :stooge

I think those Hasbro Stooges are quite good in person.

Not that another company couldn't make better versions now, but overall they are great for Stooges fans.

Would love to see most of the suggestions in this thread, from Marx Brothers and Buster Keaton to Laurel and Hardy and Chaplin, etc.

Danny Kaye as the Court Jester would be remarkable, too!

Plus, with most of these they could do color and B&W versions both to get collectors to shell out twice. :lol

Yes, and though they aren't "comedians," Nick and Nora Charles in the Thin Man series are hysterical, as is their dog.

Nick and Nora could be the start of a New Thread... Classic Detectives.

You could have a Rathbone and Bruce " Holmes and Watson"

A Oland or Toler as "Chan"

Peter Lorre as Mr Moto Who else?

The entire cast of...

"It's a Mad, Mad, Mad,Mad World"

That would definitely cover a lot of ground- I suggested a Buddy Hackett figure in the "Love Bug" thread(before I saw this one); Laurel and Hardy, Buster Keaton, Jerry Lewis, and of course, Don Rickles.
