I brought no politics into the thread. I brought semantics into it. The word you used was wrong. Twice.

Stark sold his tech to the U.S. for money. Then he used the money he made from his weapons sales for humanitarian projects across the globe. In fact, it's always been a thorn in the side of the U.S. government that he adamantly refused to sell them his Iron Man technology. That's comic book doctrine, my friend. Not politics.

I know the Civil War Armor has been done, but I would have liked to see it in an other pose.

Geez, the guy has got freaking repulsor ray weapons at his disposal and all sideshow gives us is him standing there, yes proud, but nonetheless just standing there boring the crap out of me.

C'mon, he's a superhero and people around the world love the action he's capable of doing with his unbelievable armor and weapons.

Instead, we get him holding his helmet in his hand....boring.......

I don't care the age or time frame of the armor, Iron Man will for the most part always look cool but at least give us a pose where we can at least see him at the ready to use his repulsors especially since the last time we saw him in this format he was slamming the ground and his repulsor technology wasn't being put to use either.

Because these collectibles are frozen in their design, they require poses which will transcend that very static nature and become something dynamic and exciting to own and look upon.

Hot Toys has it easy (although hard sculpts to perform no doubt due to scale) in the posing and excitement department because the figure can be manipulated into cool action poses for display.

With these PF's and Comiquette's, Sideshow has to really be mindful of the poses they will choose and for the most part they've been successfull.

Not so with this new Iron Man as far as i'm concerned.

One word for him.......BORING!

It's not the armor, the suit or the flag...

It's just simply BORING!

Here stands the mighty IRON MAN......just standing there as if he's waiting for a freaking taxi!

And all girlie like too...sorry, I couldn't resist.

Just ordered the EX. I have been a huge Iron Man fan for over 40 years so for me it was a "must have" as it does hark back to my first experiences of the Marvel World. In my case, sentiment has a greater influence than aesthetics with this piece.

If this "statue" ends up having a low ES, it's simply because there was not enough interest. That's SSC's ES policy. Little orders, low ES, more orders, higher ES. I wonder if even the scalpers will take their chances with this one.

Maybe they improved their production turn around....

If I was into him I would be very happy with that date...

Yeah don't get me wrong, didn't say I was unhappy, it's just most of the stuff that comes out for spooktacular is at least second quarter or more, wishful thinking that I would get this piece that quick...

I ain't one of the them so I agree...

Comiquette's are the same price as PF's now.....WOW..

Like I said, under $200 for an EXCELLENT Wolverine just 2 years ago.

I couldn't justify $325 for this when I payed under $300 for the Thor (yes, regular edition, who needs that silly beard).

Now, if this IM was a homerun in design, I would've splurged but i'm not paying that amount for what in essence is just a guy waiting for a taxi because he forgot his umbrella and took his flag instead.
