Has it been announced whether GG is supporting The Clone Wars? I saw the Clone statues but they didn't look cartoony.

Yeah, they sure are supporting it. Had a lot of merch at the con this year. Great looking stuff.

Both look great. I'll probably go the GG route for a few pieces but man the Koto stuff was awesome.

I will buy anything Captain Rex, Phase I Cody or even Commander Fox. Unlike the majority here I am definitely not Cloned out. I will most likely pass on anything Anakin unless SSC does something and the only way I'll buy Obi is if I can put his helmet over his head. After putting it on my Hasbro figure I haven't switched back since because he looks so good with it on.

I'm SOOOOO glad Stormtroopers were all conformed to one color scheme and that the pauldrons were the only significant difference of rank. These different paint schemes and pattern arrangements is getting ridiculous.

I want to know how the empire decided that suddenly they didn't want to have all the colors and just stick to white only!

This is why I'm so glad I don't buy into the EU stuff. I bet they have just a clone staff working on new color schemes so they can keep re-using the same mold and calling it a new figure.

Sorry, but this EU clone sh^t is ridiculous. I love the Ep3 clones, but these are just BS.

Well, it's actually quite fitting. Clones were soldiers of the Republic, so the coloration is reflective of the more positive nature of the Republic. The Empire is basically outer space Nazi Germany, so individuality and diversity are done away with. Granted, it just ended up that way with filming, but keeping the OT Troopers simplistic with the variations in the PT further enhances the Nazi-esque ways of the Empire.

I've been saying it for a long time now and will keep saying it. Lucas will eventually fill the OT with color coded Stormtroopers. If you look at the Force Unleashed figure offerings he has already begun.

If he does that, that'd be a horror. I know some people absolutely hate some of his changes, and even I find issue with some, but, I think they all at least retain the visual style of the OT, even if their placement doesn't seem right.

However, in the bland environments that surround the Imperial troops (Death Star, Star Destroyer, Hoth), colors would be so out of place, it'd look rediculous, it would actually turn Star Wars OT into a laughable trilogy of movies.

That being said it'll happen. For example I can see red striped Stormies around Palpatine and a few blue striped around Vader to keep continuity. I think not everything will change but there will be changes. Mark my words.

I have really been trying hard not to back to Hasbro but when I go to target or walmart I always looks at the new SW stuff and this CW stuff that they are dishing out is really cool.:emperor

I could live with that approach, if small numbers were made to be like specialty guards or something, like a blue 501st on each side of Vader boardin in ANH or something, that'd be ok, still not ideal, but better than entire batallions, that'd look putrid.

I love these things. I've only opened Kenobi, Anakin and Artoo so far but I'm really happy with them. The rest are all sitting in a Target bag and I have a couple of SW Shop exclusive troops coming Wednesday so i need to get crackin'!

Also, I don't mind colored stormies if they're going to broaden the scope of the OT galaxy. If we're going to see a wider variety of planets and aliens, why not a wider variety of troops? The scope of the OT is really limited.
That said, I don't want to see purple troops running around Bespin in the Specialest Edition ESB.

What would be interesting is if some of the troopers in OT, if they were color coded were coded like Commanders from ROTS. No additional lines would need to be recorded but it would be interesting to see a Cody deco'd Stormie in the background somewhere.

I had no intention of getting any of these. I was i TRU the other day getting a birthday gift, and they had Yoda, Anakin, Rex, and Obi Wan all with first day stickers, so I grabbed them. I bought a regular clone to get my total above $30 an dgot a free holo grievous. Gotta stay out of TRU..
