Don't waste your breath Irish. Some folk are just hell bent on believing that Lucas wants to screw everyone over.

Oooo, that Lucas! He ruins everything! He makes me so angry!

:D

Looks....interesting. Visually, it's looking a little too video-game-like for my taste, but that actually is a shrewd creative move considering that this will probably being marketed to folks (age-bracket) who like that stuff and it will look familiar to them.

At the panel, the producers kept insisting it was all about character...we'll see. One thing that was clear...some genuine (young) fans are working on the show but Lucas is also heavily involved to make sure it doesn't go too out of bounds for Star Wars...

While the character style appears to borrow heavily from the Tartakovsky cartoons with the sharp angles and stark lines, some of the characters look a little too extreme (Dooku was almost just a caricature to the point of being unrecognizable next to the other characters).

The action looks over the top...but it is still a "cartoon" so that's expected...the "stap hop" looked fun and contrasted well with the more visceral AT-TE tumble.

This is just a tease...it will be interesting to see this jumble of styles pulls together in complete episodes. I'm looking forward to it, but I will admit...the future "live-action" show interests me more than what so far looks like an extended video game....but we'll see.

For the last time, Lucasfilm did not shut Genndy Tartakovsky out of this CLONE WARS incarnation. In fact, they originally approached him to do them again but it was Tartakovsky that declined because he would now rather work on his own stuff rather than dedicate himself full-time to SW (which is understandable). So LFL re-thought the entire project and started from scratch, making this the first Lucasfilm Animation project.

I love the original CLONE WARS Animated Series as much as anyone, but it's silly to hold a grudge against this new one just because it's not being done by the same group, especially since they did have their chance and turned it down.

Hey, I firmly believe the original series was the best part of the prequels. I am just disappointed that Genndy's crew could not do this series as well.

No grudge against the new stuff, its just the bar has already been raised with the original Clone Wars. Let see what Lucas can do with this baby.

This is not unusual for Genndy, I mean I'm still waiting for the conclusion to Samurai Jack.
