I'm not going to tell anybody what they're seeing through their own eyes, but through my eyes the Agent Smith sculpt is only slightly superior to the Neo sculpt - and it achieves this by still looking nothing like Hugo Weaving. It puzzles me that anyone can see Hugo in there

From the eyebrows up it looks like Hugo -- got the massive forehead and that unique split hairline. But I have to agree the eyes, nose and lips don't have the same attention to detail.
Still, for the price, it will suffice until a better head can be found.
I also think that Neo is a Headplay head with a different paintjob. Recast maybe, or HP is in league with CM in some way.

The Keanu head is a poor recast of headplay. China is really ridiculous. They are actually recasting an unauthorized HS. Why not just buy them straight from HP?
The coat is also the wrong length and material. I guess I will keep my far superior custom.

Smith isn’t the best sculpt but you guys are acting like there’s something better out there right now. Well there isnt and I don’t ever see Hot Toys making anything else from The Matrix. Headplay will eventually get around to a Hugo sculpt. I agree that Neo's sculpt sucks but his outfit is pretty good. Too bad it wasn’t a Lobby Neo.

Why buy 500 from Headplay at $22 a piece when you can just buy 1 and recast the hell out of it?? FWIW, it doesn't look like a recast to me, it looks far crummier.
If I were in charge, I'd lock this thread down because I severely dislike all the recasting and unlicensed crap that these companies spew out, but hey, that's just me.
Recasters recasting from recasters is the Dante's 5th Circle of Hell I believe.

Here is a good outfit from Triad.
If they buy 500 from Headplay, I can guarantee the price will be much lower than 22 dollars. The head is a recast of HP. Anyone who owns the HP head can tell straightaway.

The outfit from Triad is fine but its sold out everywhere. Plus you usally get the coat seperate and have to bother getting shoes and pants and a belt. Kind of a pain in the ass and it adds up quickly.

The triad outfit comes with coat and pants. I know one seller in ebay that was selling only the coat but originally it comes with pants too.
Shoes and belts are all over ebay dirt cheap. But you are right that the coats are all gone from ebay (cause I bought them all for my friends who saw mine
) but I am sure triad will make more seeing there are demands for these. Heck, maybe triad will even improved them like they did with the knightrunner coat.I mean this is a decent set for the price but just saying it's not that much different to put one together yourself using better quality parts.

With the exception of the coat, everything else is pretty much free shipping or at most around 4USD. Total I think I spent around 20USD in shipping cost. The CMTOYS Matrix will probably cost more than that to ship.
When do these appear?
