Couldn't do any painting today due to bad weather and cold temperature. So I ended up playing with some clay and came up with this.........
This is still a work in progress and a lot to be done with it. I have an idea how to tackle the difficult part but don't bet on it as its still a long way to go. If it works then I will add it to the line up to be casted.
A bit more refinement. The sculpt looks a bit "squarish" in shape on film but totally ok on hand. I can still change the shape depending on feedback here. Couple more of checking and smoothing out then its final unless someone points out something to change. The two hair braids will be done separately from soft wires to simulate movement with posing the head to give a lot of option. If it works then of to casting.
Here are the comparison pictures Sir Gor. This are not finished yet as it requires final clear coat and the flat coat for those who wants it like that.
So after some adjustment here is what it looks like so far. I have baked the head and the sculpt is fixed. Here is what the two braids should look like but I will make it adjustable so that when the head is adjusted for a pose the braids will move and be set right.
Thanks gents! The braids is just to see how it looks (Its not fixed). I have two options, this style (which is also historically correct as noted on other style native americans wraps their hair) or the conventional way of braiding. This is a difficult thing to do if you want it to be able to position and sit properly like a normal braids do. So I'm left to do option one. I know its not 100% accurate to ARAH but I will compromise on this unless someone here have the solution to this.
try making them bent to rest on the shoulders and down the front of the chest, or make them seperate where they plug in to the sculpt to position them the way we want to. thats amazing you done the research on how they braided their hair back them. thanks for making these sculpts you are amazing
