What was the price of this figure at retail?

$285 usd.

There's still a handful in the sub $390 region on ebay, so anyone fence sitting should not wait. This one is destined to be one of those that hits the $800+ range before disappearing off ebay forever in a year or two imho.

Yeah, this sticker is on mine. I ordered mine through giantoy. I think the preorder situation is more relevant for local sellers in China where this figure might conceivably be available physically on store shelves. I think all the international exporters would've placed their order within the preorder window.

It's funny that I saw a lot of people criticizing this Kratos, especially on reddit, but now that he's out, the figure has so many positive points that it overshadows the other negative points

Mine is out for delivery! First day back at work after the holiday break though so won't be able to open until later anyway. Looking forward to adding this to the video game shelf

It’s nice reading all of the good things being said about Kratos and how well he’s put together. When Jinx finally arrives I’m pretty confident that she’s going to every bit the figure we’re hoping for and then some. Really excited for their next release! Congrats to all those who got a favorite character and that they did some justice to him in their production.

just unboxed him and he’s definitely an imposing figure! Got all the bonus accessories as well even though I PO’d way late with OSK.

With what everyone has said about the super stiff joints, before I do anything, I’m going to remove the hands and arm coverings and hit the elbows with the heat gun to loosen up the joints a bit.

I’m also going to test putting a magnet in the forearm sleeve and on the back of the shield (full and retracted) so that I don’t have to use the clip.

All the skintone paintwork is where it’s lacking, but everything else looks and feels top notch. IF HT/InArt were to make this, I can only really see the upgrades being paintwork, moveable eyes, probably a magnet for the shield and maybe seamless silicone arms/upper body with the burn details on the forearms.

Overall, very happy with this figure. Thank goodness I played and finished Ragnarok before the PO was cut off, otherwise I most likely would’ve passed on this

Finally got a chance to sit with this guy since you have to tie those extra parts on him. Mimir I sort of understand, but the little bag and knife sheath definitely should’ve been sculpted pieces already attached as other have said. I didn’t have any trouble getting them on, but that doesn’t make it less annoying.

He’s a real beast on display! Towers over pretty much everyone in my 1/6 collection.

I know some folks will call me crazy, but I’m way more happy/impressed with this figure than InArt Superman which was my previous most recent arrival. I’ve already got him on display whereas all my InArt figures are still sitting in their boxes. That’s not to say this is “better” than those, I’m just enjoying this figure way more than them. Only thing I really need is to get a proper nameplate made for my display stand by Cro.customs

I might see if one of the thin, metal plates I have will make a strong enough connection to a magnet through the forearm armor. If so, that’ll definitely be a better solution than trying to fit a thin magnet in there and hoping I glue it in the right spot

it was too heavy for the magnetic connections. The magnets themselves stayed in place on the shield and inside the forearm. The connection just isn't strong enough for the weight of the shield. The shield is plastic, but it's a heavy plastic. Just like how the body is plastic, but it's a heavier, more durable plastic than what you see from other companies. And I used rare earth neodymium magnets.

Worst case, I was thinking of just embedding a chunky magnet directly into his forearm since sinking one into the gauntlet is looking to be a tricky strategy. It's not like I'd ever pose him without the gauntlet, given the absence of the burn scars anyway.
