I think he looks cool and will be getting him, I do hope they will be releasing Beach Head and Firefly next.

Where the hell is Destro?

No kidding. He's only like the most popular character besides Cobra Commander. To think we could have gotten him next or Major Bludd instead of a variant Cobra Sniper...

I dont get why people keep making the same pointless statement over and over........no offense Deez.

We ARE getting a new figure every quarter
Snake, Commander, Trooper and StormShadow.
4 Core Figures over 12 months.
CCC,Officer and Sniper are "Bonus " figure if you like.( Or in most cases not like).
If you like them get them, if you don't, don't!
Either way these bonus figures are not intruding on the regular releases of the core characters, at least not yet and on top of them we're also getting environments which aren't inhibiting the momentum of the line either.
So what exactly is the problem?

SSC is releasing characters as regularly as they promised and MORE!.:huh

But SE, CC and the Cobra trooper were last years releases, this year we have SS and Duke, with Bonus Cobra officer, Cobra sniper, CCC and the infamous wall. If we are "lucky" we get one more this year. That isnt 1 per quarter.

Again, all for the trooper variant they are key to this line, but not at this stage in the game.

Think about it:

Cobra: 6
Joe: 2

The Joes are vastly outnumbered. They need to even out the releases between Joe and Cobra.

Cobra: 6
Joe: 2

But one of those Joes is Snake Eyes. I agree it might seem a bit outnumbered, but CC's too much of a ^^^^^ to fight whether he's dressed in blue or caca, so that makes 4, Storm Shadow is pretty much a Joe in disguise, which narrows it down to 3. 3 Cobras who Snake Eyes can whip with both hands tied behind his back. Duke's gonna be bored. :lol

uh.... you cant start it at the license announcement, :lol. You need to start when the first figure was released, Feb '09 and go from there. Between Snake Eyes and Storm shadow, we've gotten 5 figures: Snake Eyes, Cobra Commander, Crimson Cobra Commander, Cobra Trooper and Storm Shadow. With Snake Eyes being released in Feb, that's what, 9 months or 3 quarters? That's almost two figures a quarter (1.8). Sideshow's WAY ahead of schedule considering we're only a measly 3 quarters into the license, from the release of the first figure, and we already have 4 solid entries AND a variant.

You completely missed the point. Has nothing to do with Joes being outnumbered. Point is over a year into this line and only 2 Joes and one of them isn't shipping until Q1 next year! Sideshow is comitting Star Wars suicide releasing moneygrab variants like CCC and the Cobra Sniper when collectors' hard-earned money is better served on purchasing key characters that should be a priority to keep the strength of the line and collector interest moving along with it. I've learned very quickly that in this hobby being a completist is the road to bankruptcy so choose your purchases wisely and resist impulse purchases that aren't essential let alone the limited amount of physical space they will occupy. It's easy to get caught up in the excitement of a new announcement but when it wears off you realize that it's really something you don't really need to have. With the huge canon of Hasbro characters to pull from, and the number of years it would take to produce them, knowing which figures to purchase is going to be a necessity and, after all, knowing is half the battle :lecture

Sure you can, to me releases are the announcments or pre order dates, not the ship dates, those change all the time.

got Skiman?

That guy was awesome.. I used to have him attack the Hiss tank with his bare hands and rip the driver out of his seat. He awlays gave Sgt, slaughter trouble... and I'm not sure, but wasn't he the unmentioned name of Serpentors DNA????

Ha listen to you all.

It took over 3 years for Star Wars to get Vader. Already we have the 4 most popular GIJoe character figures: Snake Eyes, Storm Shadow, Cobra Commander and Duke.

And we know Firefly and Beachhead are close and Destro and Zartan are on the way.

We have the basic Cobra Trooper and Cobra Officer. I am fine with any variation of generic soldiers that are based on original troopers or ones that would have fit in with the original line.

Well, one thing I guess we can say is at least a lack of bad guys won't kill the line as it dd with LOTR. However, will endless Cobra variants kill it instead?

I'd be more worried if other releases were back for 2nd Chance. As of now, 4 figures in, there's only one and I'm guessing the only reason the blue CC is, is because SS held the remainder back to ensure a sell out of the CCCs during SDCC.
