SE, SS, and some of the upcoming Joes are majorly loaded with gear and accessories. IMO the Joes almost have too much (I don't even know were to put some of the extra stuff). Even the Troopers come with 4-6 extra clips and 4-6 sets of extra hands and are covered in gear (I wouldn't mind if SS cut back a little and cut a bit of price, but that's just me).

I feel the exact opposite, I've been amazed at the quality and very impressed with the loadout.

Gotta say, I hate the current pro body with a passion, but love the gear and oufits so much, that it's totally worth it for me to still pick them up and hunt for whatever TT or body I prefer after. It's almost kind of fun for me in a way I guess.

I also find them to be pretty durable. I changed SE's and SS's gear on different bodies multiple times without a problem.

The Sideshow Joes are all top notch with quality uniforms and a overload of detailed accessories. They are selling out of the figures.

And besides, GIJoe A Real American Hero was always more about the characters than military.

Yeah, I love all of mine I got so far (SnakeEyes, StormShadow, Officer, Sniper). I got Cobra Commander in the mail and I can't wait for Duke and FireFly. Although, I wish they would have released Duke before the Sniper though but I guess its easier to get a repaint out faster than a new figure. Hopefully it won't be long now.

I originally cancelled my order for the sniper b/c I couldn't see a spot for him in my Joe collection. I had already bashed together a female Cobra sniper. However, reading through this thread had me sitting on the fence about actually ordering a sniper. Figure looks cool, cool gear, etc. Fortunately, I read JediFirefly's post. That sure pushed my ass off the fence! A Cobra sniper for $69?!? WOOOOOOOOHOOOOOOOOOO!

I find it funny that a conversation is going on in this thread, of all places, in regards to the quality of figure SS is releasing. For the money I'd say the Trooper/Officer/Sniper have been some of the best overall figures released to date, of any line. Tons of well made accessories, solid bodies (you heard me) and just generally kick ass figures.... The Cobra Troops are top notch.

It's not. It's one guy trying to defend his decision to bash his own rather than pay for Sideshow's because he feels they're poor quality and poor investments as they don't come on a TT and don't come with enough accessories. Seems like he'd be more at home at Hisstank.com or something.

bipod is working good. i got 2 from onesixthdepot. i needed to mod it a little to fit the sideshow dragunov. it fit my other dragunov quite nicely. i also removed both lens caps on the scope. they were just spot glued. the one on the eye end was just a rubber plug that pops in and out quite nicely. i got a piece of red transparent tape. i might try to put a red lens on it next.

No one would ever admit that SS produces better 1/6 scale figures then HT, but I will say that SS ALWAYS packs their releases with tons more accessories. The GI Joe line speaks for itself.... And the Indy (RIP) line did a damn good job of it too, aside from German Indy.
