Re: Collection Stash: A collection catalog platform

Theoretical question.

Tyler Stout does a print for Mondo Tees.

That would be a print that is classified under Mondo Tees.

Tyler Stout does a print himself that he releases.

That would be a print that is classified under the artist Tyler Stout.

How does this sound?

Mondo Tees is a company that releases prints but Artists can also release prints themselves. They could be classified as a company but that might be confusing.

This sounds good to me and classifying artists as artists is less confusing IMO.

Re: Collection Stash: A collection catalog platform

Yea definitely. This would then break the reliance of a collectible on Manufacturer, which I wanted to get to anyway.

Hmmm, so it would still be keyed by art or artist and then for those cases, manufacturer would turn into a distributor. That might make sense for art specific things. I will dump that into the think tank.

Yeah I think that is best.

You have the Artist as the main, maybe subject as the second and the distributer as the the third. Allows three searchable sorts but does not make the distribution primary.

I like that.

Part of that release...which will be after this current one I am working on will be a portfolio page for both manufacturers and artists to get a better look at everything they do. This will also open up the doors for designer toys and customs.

Sounds like a plan. I think it works well and puts the artist first but still allows searches by the others.

Those are awesome man!! :rock

Thanks! Devil did a fantastic job. The first one will be buttons given out at NYCC and the second one will be stickers given out on the forums.

Devil is working on a potential NYCC variant as well.
