Re: Collection Stash: A collection catalog platform

What? Did someone say something?!?

Must've been the wind...Anyway, I have some AH! prints to put on the Stash. :naughty :nana: ;) :lol

haha Then I guess you will be busy for a while. That man must have like hundreds of prints out there. :nana:

Re: Collection Stash: A collection catalog platform

Sure!

I have no idea about programming but, just as an idea, would it be possible to settle the "Part/Print" category in a way that we could edit them with all the details, and therefore making them work as another collectible. They might work in a similar way to the "Variants" links that appear below the collectible itself...with a small thumbnail and everything

Not sure whether I am explaining too well

Ya I know what you mean. I am not sure when I will get to that adding that but in the meantime I updated Sideshow to allow for prints.

What you can do is submit the prints as collectibles but add the print from the statues as a part (make sure to link from an existing collectible). At least that way we will know what it means. Just set the price to $0.

OOOK. Thank you Tyler! :duff

Re: Collection Stash: A collection catalog platform

Haha ok, I just submitted one but I am not sure I did it right. i just found out I am quite outdated with aaaall the new features and such. Would you mind checking it Tyler, when you find the time ,before continuing submitting more? :monkey3

Haha ya, a lot has changed since I think you last submitted something.

Looked pretty good, I did remove the UPC since it really doesn't have one but I left product code.

The one thing I did have to add those was the print as a part to the print. I know it sounds funny but that is what will link the two for now.

Basically in the part section, I selected Action -> Add Existing Part. Then did a search for Emma Frost, and selected the part/print added to the statue.

I knew something was going on with that. I tried clicking the "Action" option, but as nothing appeared I just omitted that step :D

Anyway, now that I know that feature I'll see what I can do with the next ones. ;)

Again thank you!

EDIT: Ok, I think I definitely don't know how to do that. When I select "Action" in Parts and accesories, nothing as such appears, just a blank line, and when I click on it, then another small window pops up:

Use this action to add a brand new part to this collectible.

Part Details
Category*
Select
Name

Scale

Collectible Part Details

But I certainly don't know how you're doing the search for the existing collectibles. What am I doing wrong? :panic:

I don't think prints that come with statues should get their own entry unless they are also sold separately.

Re: Collection Stash: A collection catalog platform

^ Well, it was just a suggestion, but could you explain why not? As I said before, there might be collectors who bought the regular statue and the EX print separately or even people who only collect the prints (None that I know of, but still a possibility)

I do attend to agree with the statement that a "collectible" is defined as something that is a product that can be sold, at least on Collection Stash.

However I do see where Joseph is coming from since there are people who just collect the prints from the statues and they should theoretically be able to display that. I am just not sure the best end-approach solution yet.

I think this will be a one off case where for the Sideshow prints we will do it how I described above but I do not want to handle it that way for everything until we come up with a better way to organize those scenarios.

Re: Collection Stash: A collection catalog platform

Yesterday I was a bit out of commission. It being Valentines day and all. Today I plan to add some more stuff. :D

Alright it is gonna be a long two weeks. I have one more feature I want to push out ASAP plus get a lot of stuff approved.

BG has pulled way ahead in the nuts.

Never thought I'd hear that before.

Re: Collection Stash: A collection catalog platform

When you click the "Actions" button under "Parts and Accessories" there should be a drop down option called "Add Existing Item". Try that.

This is a good use case, I need better documentation around that.

I have. Several times. But I can only see like a line in blank, and when I click on it, then the options I mentioned before appear, but certainly nothing like an "Add existing item" :dunno

Can you send me a screenshot of what you are seeing.

Here are some shots of what I am doing:

At this point click "Select"

Then search, then select the part underneath the collectible,
then enter in a count.
