Not sure why Miles decided to take the foot off the gas at the end of the last drive after Mettenberger was doing so well, then they play this lame, almost prevent defense when Alabama got the ball back. LSU only has themselves to blame.

Which means there is something wrong with the current system we're using.

The computers issue was they had a "weak strength of schedule". The computers were going to move them up since 3 of the 4 toughest games were in last 4 weeks.

It means they expect Oregon to be back to number 2 where everyone but silly computers put them.

The computers moved Alabama up 3 spots, Norte dame down 2 Kansas St down 1 and Oregon yeah. No change.

Having lived in the Atlanta area for 30+ years I can definitely attest that much of this SEC cheerleader stuff absolutely has as much to do with "Southern pride" as anything else. They put almost as much emphasis on wanting the conference to win as their own school. They want to be better than the damn Yankee schools up North and the West Coasters. It's borne of an overall inferiority complex that has been palpable here since the outcome of the Civil War. Annoys the **** out of me. There is no more myopia in sports than fans and journalists following these southern teams.

But that does not account for ESPN's "bias" towards the SEC.

Dude, it's absolutely true. Southern folks circle the wagons with each other like no other. It goes way beyond football or sports. It's a pride thing.
