I'm sure we will find out soon, quite looking forward to seeing what it is myself.

Please keep the personal insults out of this thread. lets try and keep things light-hearted shall we.

:lol:lol:lol:lol:lol:lol sloths are awesome :rock

I remember seeing a Jaguar kill a sloth. Seemed awesome at the time, but with all of these pictures... when I think back on it, I feel a little dead inside.

So they are screwing us with one JP Dio and branching off to this complete other line??!!

Wow, thanks a lot SSC. I can see why I am down to under $1k on my Pre-Order list.

Ooooh, premium format Dinos. Sounds cool, but not my kind of stuff. Now if it was 1/6th scale poseable Dinos and I'm all over that.

Dinosauria.

:huh Could be interesting. :huh

Thousand Oaks, California (October, 2008) - World-renowned manufacturer of licensed and proprietary product, Sideshow Collectibles is announcing Sideshow’s Dinosauria, a new line of dinosaur themed collectibles. The project’s Design and Development Team are collaborating with several respected artists in the field of paleo sculpting in an effort to bring forth authenticity and dynamic compositions. This new line of proprietary designs will include a wide range of Dinosaur species in engaging diorama compositions of the primordial struggle to survive, as well as individual study maquettes presenting moments of definitive power and grace. Sideshow’s signature exclusive versions will be accompanied by miniature skull collectibles of the nt or featured species. Sideshow’s Dinosauria is expected to range from $200 - $350, the premier offering soon to be revealed.

Since the discovery of the first dinosaur fossils in the early nineteenth century, dinosaur exhibits have attracted spectators the world over. The mysterious creatures are a staple in scientific research, historical wonderings and pop culture media, and new discoveries continue in the Paleontology field as new species and facts are uncovered, captivating the public imagination and becoming a lasting part of human culture.

I don't know how my LOTR dollars are gonna like it but I'm much happier with just Dinosaurs than with Jurassic Park Dinosaurs. Can't wait to see what they are gonna do with this.

Gotta say, I'm equally dissappointed, this announcement almost ammounts to say we give up on JP, I can't imagine them simultaneously doing both, and I have no interest in any of this stuff.

Well... this is unexpected, isn't it? I must confess a little disappointment that it's not a new JP product. And I echo what was already said that we've been screwed by only receiving one item, to have a whole new line opened up.

However, I am VERY intrigued where they're going to take this, and I'm curious what the first piece will be. Also, what the prices will be like. If anyone in here is familiar with paleo-collectibles, they probably know that "cheap" is not a word in said vernacular. $200-350? Oy...

Sideshow board meeting:
"Why are we paying Universal for the JP license? It's just dinosaurs! Anyone can make dinosaurs!"
