Let's be serious, is there anyone here that would actually buy a $300 statue of a Brontosaurus? I can't imagine Sideshow just making a random dinosaur and we know it's nothing to do with Jurassic Park. The photo is either something with three legs, or a something with two that walks like an idiot.

JP fans might by a diorama from JP of the first shot of the Brachiosaurus when Alan, Ellie and Hammond look at it. It's not the coolest image, but it is the first shot we ever had of the amazing JP dinos.

Color me baffled. o_o Are there any upcoming movies with strange creature designs, possibly dinosaur related?

Oh, and it can't be Cloverfield, that thing didn't walk on it's knuckles.

Okay, kids, let a professional weigh in here.I've been a dino-artist for over 25 years(yes, it is possible to get paid to do this stuff!) so I do know a bit about them. The prints are a Hadrosaur trackway. The little crescent shapes are the front feet. Most ornithopods have front feet that are approximately this shape to some degree, but in hadrosaurs it gets a bit extreme. The"hand" of a hadrosaur is kind of like a mitten, with the digits compressed into a sort of a paw and able to hyper-extend forward. And hadrosaurs were definitely prey;they were aproximately the same size as the major predators(tyrannosaurs) and had no defensive structures to speak of. Like zebra, they relied on safety in numbers.Mystery solved...PS

I'm taking a big stab here but I think it will be,

OKay, here's my take.....

These are NOT footprints. I think they are markings. If they were footprints, the ground would be sand, mud or something like that and it looks like to me it is a close up of a skull or a body part. I think I see veins somewhere....

It is some kind of tatoo or something and I can not figure out what it is but they are not footprints from a three legged creature....

It's obviously a large sauropod's footprints. (Brachiosaurus, Diplodocus, etc...)

The smaller part of each print is the front footprint. The larger part of each print is the back footprint.

As in: The sauropod's left front foot makes the smaller print. Then as it brings it's left back foot forward, it steps into the area directly BEHIND the left front foot.

Here's an example:

And lastly...a pic of actual, fossilized sauropod tracks with a bit of the teaser pic. There's no mistaking the similarities.

Ace Ventura when nature calls license. Those are footprints from the raccoon he rescued from the mountain. Problem solved NEXT.

I'm thinking Sabres has it right;sauropod trackway. I was going to call it that originally, but changed my mind while I was taking the puppy out(moral:always go with your first instinct).Nice supporting evidence, by the way. As for the Land Before Time...this may be grounds for sepuku...PS

I was in Walmart this morning and saw this in the DVD section...
I think I know what Prey is now! :rotfl:rotfl:rotfl

"It's a lion! It's huge!":lol:monkey3

Land Before Time sounds like it could be it too. ;)

Im guessing no-one here hunts, does any tracking, or works with any animals, specifically large animals (horses, cattle, etc)?

This is a "two-limbed creature".

Explain:

Look at how the prints are. The "palms" are either lined to the left or right with four humps (top, two middle, bottom) and the "knuckles" are partial "crescents" with who humps (outer, middle).

There are 10 prints/tracks/patterns running like this:

Right, Right, Left, Right, Right, Left, Right, Right, Left, Right

Going in a direction of:

East NorthEast, East NorthEast, North NorthEast, NorthEast, East NorthEast, North NorthEast, East NorthEast, East NorthEast, North NorthEast, East NorthEast

2, 2, 1, 1:30, 2, 1, 2, 2, 12:30, 2 (2 could mean 14, 1 could mean 13, and :30 could mean two)

or

West SouthWest, West SouthWest, South SouthWest, SouthWest, West SouthWest, South SouthWest, West SouthWest, West SouthWest, South SouthWest, West SouthWest, West SouthWest,

8, 8, 7, 7:30, 8, 7, 8, 8, 6:30, 8 (8 could mean 20, 7 could mean 19, and :30 could mean two)

There is no sand, dirt, mud, or ground for these prints, even though there is some depth to the print. The background like something metallic or brass, like the emblem/logo for SERENTIY. They are clear in the shiny areas and dull in the darker regions.

Any "three-limbed creature" would have the middle limb with the palm's humps being centered and forming a "V". There are none like this at all.

Additionally, hadnt anyone thought about that since those "tracks" dont make any sense, that someone put them there as in to "throw you off the scent"?

Has anyone looked at this sideways, upside down, and reversed?

Anyone try to "connect the dots"?

Anyone try to see if there is a code embedded in the direction of the tracks?

Anyone remember the new licenses announced at SDCC08? Species? 300? Terminator Salvation?

Anyone recall the Jurassic Park press release? "Sideshow is licensed to create a line of collectible dinosaur statues and dioramas commemorating the film’s upcoming 15-year anniversary."

Whatever it is, if those are feet, they are bunched in groups of three, so it has three legs, or it has a very unorthodox walking pattern with two legs.
