The line between a "True collector" and a pathological statue hoarder who buys on impulse is very thin..
I preordered the EX the day he went up and I would have no problem with Sideshow upping the price on their items if it would guarantee their quality control; I haven't complained at all about the increase in Hot Toys prices because they consistently are improving their product.
Colossus is huge, but compare apples to apples: HT Iron Monger has a ton of tooling/small parts, articulation, light up features, and consistent quality paint applications. Colossus is a painted polystone statue (possibly hollow) with fabric on him.
You think its just the amount of resin in a statue that determines the price 
You're essentially comparing an intricately complex marvel in the Iron Monger with a giant mego doll in Colossus PF

Smooth I may be extremely new to the scene and to the site, but I totally agree with you. Part of the appeal of these PFs is the impression they leave on people, and that is why I want to collect characters I like in this medium. No matter the extreme detail of a small figure, it will be overshadowed by a bigger piece as it will draw more attention to itself. Not too big, not too small, just right

I got into collecting after i went to a Family Freinds house and saw a Hulk Pf in a custom Acrylic Case, He collected Hot Toys also (which I thought were like 50 dollars or so before he told me) but just the size of Pfs gives you the presence of an amazing expensive collectible and I started to collect myself

Well that depends on why exactly you're collecting statues? To try to impress people with the "size" of your statues?
I personally, and people in general, are way more impressed by details, intricacies & overall aesthetic quality of a piece than its sheer size. You were trying to make a point that Colossus PF should be worth more money than the Iron Monger because its "taller" and has some cheap "cloth" on it..So what? Colossus is also a very simplistic sculpt when compared to the Iron Monger and complexity should be an important factor to consider when setting the price point.
