i used to bring my girlfriend to Comic Con but that only slowed me down... now, she hits the beaches while i hit the convention.

believe me... with all 4 days sold out, you will not feel alone.

just stay with bodie, he loves a good reach around every now and then.

Not really. I've never been asked to show ID when picking up a ticket. I've picked up my Dad's before. They just try to get through them as fast as possible. Any year they could change things though, but the past 4 years I've gone its always been the same.

And I've been asked to provide ID each time. Been going since 2005. I guess it all depends on who you get while registering. (Or maybe because I look shady?) Anyway, I'd go by myself. Get a doctor's statement to get refund for the airlines. There's a lot of folks who go by themselves -- me included -- and never have a problem with being lonely. Most of us use the Sideshow booth as "home base" and link up there and/or give each other our cell phone #s to contact once we get there.

For those men who are encouraging high-risk pregnant wife to go anyway. Bad. It's not about flying and crashing -- it's about air pressure and the unremitting crush of the Con.

U should have used protection brother. :slap

I say sell the ticket here...there's a bunch of stragglers that want to go but don't have tickets.

If your Wife is fine with it go alone. Hopefully you paid the like 20 bucks for the trip insurance they will then for sure refund the ticket for your wife. If she is not then or your not then just cash in chips and count your blessings. Congrats!!!!

Looks like they're only available as part of a hotel package:

Figures the people running the trade show would pull something like that. Where are the extra single day passes at? Just need a friday.

Same here, except for last year. I arrived around 11 am, showed them the invoice and she gave me the badge.

Well I paid for my wife and I's four day passes like in October of last year if I remember correctly, booked the hotel for us about 2 months ago with a family friend who works for Marriot and booked our flights out of Newark Airport on Continental (we live in NYC), EVERYTHING was working out as planned...and NOW we find out she's pregnant!

The doctor doesn't want her to fly because she is considered high risk. So I need opinions on what I should do.

None of my friends are really into sci-fi comics or collectibles. I do have a friend who goes anywhere, to anything anytime. I think we all have one of those bum friends who don't work and is always ready to roll. Only probably is he get's SUPER ANNOYING after about 10 hrs so I couldn't imgaine being cooped up with him for days on end. I know it sounds mean but it's true.

So guys should I just write Comic Con to get a refund on the tix and lose the money on the air and hotel?? OR should I go alone? I never really go places alone, I have a ton of friends out here just no one that's into comics, video games, collectibles etc.

This sucks!:slap

Refund her Con and plane tickets... and leave her at home. Take the money and get yourself something nice at the show. :lol
