comic question

i've been thinking about displaying comics with some of my PF's and was wondering what everyones opinion is in regards to which comics would look best in said displays.

one thought would be to get as old of comic as possible, which of course would cost a small fortune with the likes of spidey and hulk #1's costing many thousands of dollars and then your sometimes stuck with not the greatest of looking comic.

or just go with a newer run comic that will get you a much cleaner look, but maybe not as important piece of history.

for example with my vs displays that i have planned, i'd like to get a Hulk vs Abomination comic, and Hulk vs Thing etc. etc.

Depends on the PF. you'd probably want to display them with a comic book that has a cover displaying the majority of the character (like a full body with awesome art).

You should get the most iconic comic of that character that you can afford that represents the character as much like the statue as possible.

I wouldn't nessacaraly get a comic, as sometimes they can be expensive. find the art on-line, and print it out on high quality paper. you can MOST comic book covers online.

yes i've seen that one, though i can't see myself buying it for the going rate.sick

i'm seriously thinking of getting the print that ssc has for sale. looks cool and only $700 roughly.

Yea, I'm still searching for a Iron Man #1 and I think number #2 has first appearance of Namor... or I'm not sure what number that is... but I want it.

yes, kinda like me with spidey #1, i'd love to have it, but unless i win the lottery it's out of my reasonable reach. don't get me wrong i could buy it, but i could never leave home without it, or ever get a good nights sleep ever again if you know what i mean.

how true, you can always get another doom, but that comic in that kinda of shape is next to impossible to replace.

Yeah I've always wanted the X-Men #1 but don't wanna drop the dime on it either (it's usually around 8-10G's CHA CHING!!! $$$$), this one was actually my fathers, the Hulk that is... it's not in the house. Kept in a safety deposit box in a unknown disclosed location in the middle of the Bermuda Triangle
