I've been here almost two years and just broke 1000 so I think 300 is about right.

I mean you could have more than 300 posts and still scam someone. Just cause they have 300 or 50 posts doesn't promise you then won't screw you over. The only way to find out is to check their feedback or just give it a shot (if they don't have any).....thats life if they screw you over and yes it sucks. But thankfully the majority of the people on here are fair and honest and just want to collect action figures

I definately think a higher post count is necessary and a time limit if possible too. Its unfortunate that scamming happens but if we can put as many obstacles as possible in front of these people they may not be as keen to try it.
I have no doubt that whatever we do someone will get through but hopefully with tighter restrictions we can protect our community as much as possible.
I think the recent problems Pitu's transaction has shown us the current post count of 50 while good in principle, it just isnt enough.
At the end of the day its up to each individual whether they choose to deal with another member but if we can find ways to protect each other then bring it on I say.

Exactly. Look at Melvin. He came in and posted a LOT in a short period of time and then started stealing peoples money. If you plan to come in and scam you can build up a post count fast if you want to.

But at least they'd have to somewhat 'work' for the opportunity. not just stroll in here and start ripping people off out of the blue.

No one said it would be a foolproof plan, but at least it's a precaution to hopefully deter MOST assbags

I do believe that the post count doesnt matter that much! and Bannisters point on the MO is what we should all do but i think that 300 post is a good thing! it will at least eliminate people like straps who just want to sell something real quick( to screw somebody or not) and get theyre post count by posting this . So 300 post i think will eliminate this threat a little, hopefully making this a safer place!!!!

Only sale to people with Confirmed addresses, only take paypal, and unless you have slept with that person before! dont take MO!!
