Nice. I defin like it.

however, recasters looking at this thread will prob just recast the statue and repaint it.

After all, its the fabric they could not replicate :(

:lol:lol:rotfl

There's a lot more to it than that...

are you for real dude? You really think that fabric is harder to replicate than actually HAND SCULPTING the unfinished parts of the statue? LOL!!!

Computerfly, Spidey looks SICK! I can't for the life of me see how anyone can say the PF looks better than your custom Spidey. Well done sir. You turned an ugly PF into a true work of art!

No.... he turned ELITENESS to the NON TOUCHABLE!!!! :lecture

First, I want to thank all of you for the outstanding support you have shown for me and this project. You guys are great.

The more and more I see of the Marvel pre-production sculpts, the more and more I want to tear the cloth off of all of them and repaint them.

When Sideshow started out doing Marvel PFs like, oh, say, the Logan, where the body was basically completely unfinished, with the exception of the hands, boots and head... I say "Sure, cover that .... up", lol. But don't hide the work of some of the best sculptors in the business with cloth. Folks like Martin and the Gore Group, Pablo and now for me, Tim Bruckner. What really started me down this path was when I saw the Mystique PF sculpt (sans cloth) in the production blog. That piece would have been amazing fully sculpted and painted (and with any luck, will be ;) ). Thank God Tim got a shot at redoing the comiquette, which is just amazing IMO.. my favorite Marvel female piece to date.

Keep the cloth on the Movie characters, because it looks phenomenal and I wouldn't have it any other way. Marvel PFs? Not so much.

Here's a little Venom/Spidey love for you..

U know if I did sculpt something like that for SS I honestly would feel a lil let down after the sculpt had been covered with fabric.

Just sayn.

Why would anyone do that??

Sell the 'classic' PF, buy a regular, convert it to a 'classic' comiquette and you'd have something that not only looks a LOT better, but is even more exclusive... at least until everyone starts wanting this done.

Plus, you'd come out smelling like a rose... that is, you'd have about $1k more in your pocket.

That is awesome work! So much better than the PF... I'm amazed by how my of an improvement it is and of course your paint work looks top-notch :bow

pretty much, if he had finished this before i bought the classic, i would have considered doing this, but if i dont like the new blue/red comi, i may try and get the same thing done. It may be more "exclusive", but that doesnt necessarily mean it will be worth more. Take a look at that awesome custom brown wolvie comi we had for proof.

this thread show EXACTLY WHY Sideshow should do away with real cloth on CERTAIN sculpts.

You did a great job C-Fly.

Just wait 'til he gets done with the 'classic' comiquette...

you're way too caught up on numbers and edition sizes.

not comparing the Classic to Steve's, I just meaning ripping up apart a classic in order to do this....

and if you've got several of the Classic, why not, go at it. :lecture

I have spoken.

Binny-rabbit OWNED!!!!
