I still fight off temptations for new things, but whatever comes home needs to strike a powerful chord in me, long after the novelty has worn off. Every single piece in my collection should be a tangible manifestation of my tastes, memories, and nostalgia.
A few pointers:
Don't buy stuff "just because it was a good deal" - get it because you WANT it!
Don't allow anything to "sneak" into your shelf.
Don't buy inferior versions of what you have (getting the Maul mini-bust when you have the 1:1)
Don't clutter, hoard, speculate
Don't over-analyze
Do's
Round up similar pieces together to make it easier on the eyes.
Less is more.
Have fun.
Well said bud!
