Agreed... although I've generally been a sucker for their environments having dropped for the Dewback, Yoda's Hut and Jabba's throne all of which have been awesome.
But as key as the Carbon Freezing Chamber is, I just don't see much purpose in owning and displaying it. Guess it will depend on what section it is and if any figures are released to interact with it.
Now, having said that I'd be all over a Bespin Gantry to recreate the "I am your father" scene.

Freezing chamber would have to be significantly bigger than the environments Sideshow already offered to make me bite. A two levels dio would be awesome. Either a "working" freezing chamber or a simple platform with stairs.
This being said, the space required for such a piece would prevent me from buying one

I'd almost guess it would be more like the platform where Luke confronts Vader... a huge drop-down freezing chamber would be pretty ridiculous.

I kind of hope it's something along the lines of those generic environments for SW and GIJOE they offered a few years back. Those were an easy pass for me.

Yeah, i guess it would be hard to make it look good. A platform with console and stairs on the other hand would work nicely.
Then we'd need a Bespin Leia, Lobot, Bespin guard(s), couple Ugnaughts and Chewbacca to make it even more desirable.

At one end of the environment, they could include the console that Vader uses the Force on to initiate the Carbon Freezing process when Luke falls into the chamber.
I have always thought that SSC should make more small environments similar to the "Reactor Station Alpha" one that they released. I have that one and wish I had gotten at least one more to use with other figures. It's generic enough that they don't have to label it as "Star Wars" but it can easily be used with them and also be used for other figures you might have.
They should make a generic Death Star wall piece that they could keep the price low on, so if you wanted to get multiples and display them side by side you could kinda have a DS hallway. I doubt SSC would do it but maybe some other company, like Scale Store or somebody, could do something similar.
Maybe something like these.
I found that last one on rebelscum, a guy was making them for his bookcase.

Okay, while the Han Solo is a must buy... I have to ask why they would go with Anakin Skywalker over ALL the other obvious choices? I mean, Darth Vader? No? Obi Wan(A New Hope), Lando or even Chewie?

I'd say they are seeing Star Wars as a 6 parts saga (soon 9) thus making Anakin Skywalker the most obvious choice of all after Luke Skywalker.

and probably after they release Anakin and the sales are so low, they decide to drop the line instead of sticking with the OT, fearing that Star Wars has lost its attraction.

I'd be surprised if a ROTS Anakin were to fail selling through. We didn't even get to see a teaser. IMO, if it's half as good as Bespin Luke it's gonna be a must buy for a majority of fans/collectors.

If it's half as good as Luke, it will be sitting in warehouses for 3 to 5 years after release. Eventually they'll take a write-down on it and have to destroy excess inventory. BBTS still has 149 DX07 in stock. These are not quick sellers - you just need to compare it to any of the Batman series.
