I've been tossing this idea back and forth for quite a while and I'm so torn. I'd hate to get rid of anything that I'd regret selling and I know I'd regret letting go of my Marvel pieces. But it's time to decide if I'm going to pursue or just get rid of the Marvel stuff.

There are a few pieces I regret not getting, Doom, Iron Man, Spider-Man. But I just don't think I'll have the room or money to keep up (or in this case, catch up) with these and the SW and LOTR lines, which are by far my favorites.

I only have 3 pieces thus far so that makes things a little easier, but they are nice pieces to have Hulk VS Spidey Green Exc, X-Men VS Sentinel Exc, and the Grey Hulk PF.

What to do, what to do?

Keep a piece or two as prime examples of the line and let the rest go! That is what I did with both Star Wars and Marvel! It hurts, but you'll feel better after a while... (at least that's what everybody keeps telling me!)

I dont see any reason why you cant have just a few. Keep and collect what you find to be the best of the best of the Marvel line.

Or better yet, you guys can stop going on these forums, and sideshowtoy.com's website and see what new products are coming in.

I considered doing that but I know I'd be tempted when other pieces came out. If I get out at all, I'm getting out completely. I can't believe I'm considering getting a roommate in order to get more SS pieces. What the hell is wrong with me?

Wow, getting a roommate just to afford more-that's hardcore. :lol If you are getting out, get out completely so you won't be tempted by more releases. Hit me up with a PM if you are looking to sell that Grey Hulk in the future. Word.

Why do you think I held onto my last girl for so long? :monkey3

I was affraid I wouldn't be able to afford everything I had on order. That doesn't make me a bad person does it?

Roommates are good  I have had a friend living in my flat since November. His rent has helped my Credit card/SS situation.

If you ever decide to sell Doctor Doom give me a PM with the price you are looking for as I would be interested. Cheers

I don't think Doom is available since he regrets not getting it.

that would indeed suck to get rid of marvel completely but on the bright side at least you'd know that you would for sure be able to keep up with LOTR and SW right?

It would make it a lot easier knowing that there wouldn't be any surprising Marvel purcheses. And the pace of the LOTR lines makes it easier already.

And no, I don't have a Doom. If I did, it'd make this decision even more difficult.

exactly.
Ive started picking up Marvel PFs.
I dont have Doom, and think he;s totally as bad ass as everybody else thinks he is, but I have no desire to own one and it doesnt bother me at all.

keep what you like, sell the rest.
Leaves space to have a more diverse collection

I had to make a tough choice and sold all of my Marvel items to make room for Star Wars. I liked them a lot, but I love Star Wars about a thousand times more than Marvel and the coolness of the individual pieces couldn't overcome the fact that I grew up watching Star Wars, not reading Marvel Comics. That old love for all things Star Wars overpowered my attraction to the Marvel pieces, and they had to go. But now I have room for Jabba and his throne, and I'm comfortable with the decision I made.
