Statue Cover Girls of the DC Universe

Ugh, I haven't seen one good photo of her in hand yet.

Skipping this series and going with Kotobukiya Bishoujo instead. I like their Batgirl, Supergirl and Wonder Woman more than these.

Don't let one bad apple spoil the bunch hunni. Overall though, As far as value and sheer aesthetic, I think the Covergirls line is superior. Just my .2

I don't know. Shunya Yamash(i)ta is a genius when it comes to cute. Those bishoujo statues are pretty foxy. Not my thing, but much girlier than this line. I can see how a preference could slant that way.

No disagreeing with you there Devil, the man is a virtuoso when it comes to the depiction of the female essence and anatomy from a certain exaggerated perspective. I honestly think it's "apples and oranges".

Havok Dinah is a must but then again is Power Girl which I don't have. I seen nothing great about Batgirl and it maybe the same for Supergirl even Ivy. all is well and waiting for a good Batgirl or I just miss out on her. Yep, I really like their Batgirl and Supergirl (which ironically, are the two worst Cover Girls imo)

The bishoujo statues aren't my cup of tea. The only nice one is WW which I'll be picking up. The rest are easy passes for me.

Adam's art is definitely my preference.

According to my BBTS tracking number...my Batgirl is waiting at my house!

I hope her paint app is good or at least with as little paint issues as possible.

I just opened my Batgirl and snapped a few shots of her...there are a few minor things but nothing I can't live with.

Some slight bleed off of black into the yellow on the edge of the cape...minor IMO.

There are a couple of paint discrepancies on the gloves but again nothing I can't live with.

A small indentation on the left boot toe...

Overall I'm very happy with my Batgirl and I'm glad I picked her up! ​

Received mine yesterday. Paint was missing from the nose and there was a large gouge in her chin. Sending her back to BBTS. Good company to deal with. They are holding a replacement for me.

BBTS has excellent CS. I had to have my Little Frakkin Colonials Starbuck replaced and BBTS replaced it fast without any problems!

Snoop, I'm genuinely happy for you but reading you're comments leaves me with a bad taste in my mouth. Not because of the statue's shortcomings, but because as I read those comments I feel like you're lowering you're standards and justifying the statue which you really shouldn't have to do, you shouldn't have to "live with it"

Again, I'm happy you're happy m'man, I just wish non of us had to settle for a sub par statue.

Thanks, IC, and you're right...we shouldn't have to settle for sub par statues. I guess I am lowering my standards somewhat.

Although the discrepancies I noted are minor and not really noticable unless you look close, they're not enough for me to justify sending the statue back for a replacement with possibly worse issues.

If the statue had been broken or had major issues you can bet that I would be on the horn with BBTS and requesting a replacement.

I appreciate you being honest with your comments and being a passionate advocate for quality collectibles, my friend.

I've been buying DC Direct products for the last 10 years and have never known quality issues like we are experiencing at the moment. It's a complete lottery, not so much the possibility of getting a bad statue but exactly how bad a statue will you get!

Well Supergirl has been delayed until March 9th. Hopefully Poison Ivy is still on track to release February 9th though.

I'm still pretty happy right now however cause I just got Black Canary and she's great! I now have all the Cover Girls except for Batgirl which I'm more than likely gonna skip, so I have all the ones I want.

Now I'm really looking forward to Poison Ivy, Supergirl and Hawkgirl.
