Worst paint job ever! What the hell happened? I have a piece of glue on the underside of her cape, globbed up areas of paint on her cape, a paint pop on her arm and fingerprints on the back of her cape where they touched it before it dried. but the face was not too bad. I don't have the energy to return her and deal with that, so she's on the bottom shelf. The base is pretty. compared to the crappy job gentle giant is doing now she would be 5 stars:)

:slap Just as I feared. Looks like the problem is going to be widespread.

oh big time. I even got a snatch of hair of whomever painted it in the packing tape around the styrofoam. I am gonna own her flaws like a badge of honor for the fumbling batgirl. with an ES of 6,000 there has to be one good one out there.:rotfl

I agree with Michael Crawford that they need to stop calling these limited editions. harley quinn is 8,000!!! I am getting poison ivy and then hawkgirl and thats it. UNLESS he does a big barda that I absolutely cannot resist. then That's IT!!!
I agree that 8,000 is a pretty large ES in the collectible market but to me that's still limited.

The way I always look at it is that's only 8,000 that were made in the entire world. So even if every single one sells, only 8,000 people out of the trillions in the world will have one. I know not everyone in the world wants these or even knows about them but I know that still makes me feel special that I have one.

I'm sure there's lots of people that love these characters that aren't even aware of the whole collectible market. Granted you can't really go into a comic shop without seeing statues like these but I know those people are still out there.

And honestly, as long as you get a piece and you really want it, does it matter how many were made? I know it doesn't for me cause I just want the piece for myself. Sure it's nice when there's a super low ES but my world doesn't come crumbling down when it's large.

I love large ES. It usually means it easier and cheaper to get what I want.

I'm not in it to resell so I'm looking for ease of purchase and affordablity.

Well, Batgirl came today and as most have said the paint apps sloppy. They aren't bad enough to send back but DC needs to work on their quality control. You can see seams on her gloves where the statue is put together. Overall she's not terrible, but I can't help but feel that a huge opportunity was missed by not going with AH's original design.

Batgirl doesn't look bad but she doesn't look as good in hand as I thought she was going to.

I still haven't picked up Black Canary and I'm probably gonna get Poison Ivy so those are gonna come first, not to mention Hawkgirl when she comes out.

So I guess I might still get her at some point but it won't be for quite a while if I decide to at all.

DHarper your body paint job doesn't look bad at all, however, the eyes on yours are jacked up. one looks slanted and the other looks straight or is it just the photo???

Ugh, I haven't seen one good photo of her in hand yet. :(

Skipping this series and going with Kotobukiya Bishoujo instead. I like their Batgirl, Supergirl and Wonder Woman more than these. :(

I think it's the photo. :dunno

Like you said, G, the paint app on DHarper's doesn't look bad...so I hope when I get mine it's ok.
