Really nice pic dharper, they look great together.

Starting to wish I'd jumped on board with this line at the beginning, too expensive to catch up now...

Good to see you back Allison, I hope you are feeling better!

Looking forwars to getting my copy of Cover Run in 12 days!

I'm not really back. I've taken a beating that I don't really think I deserve on just about all the statue message boards. So I'm pulling back on my posting to just when I think it is necessary. People had questions about Supergirl, so I'm posting Adam's design.

I hope you enjoy Cover Run; it was a lot of hard work putting it together. Adam even did a couple of pages on his DC Statues, where he provided all of the photos of the pieces himself.

YES Allison. Yes we did :1-1:

Over what? In any case I'm really sorry to hear that immature behavior has put you off from posting. I'd like to think that here on the DC board we are a different breed of collector and that if we did have a problem we are able to voice our opinions in a constructive and respectful manner, so please don't stay away! And in the odd case that someone does get out of line, well let's just say I know people :wink1: (buttmunch :lol)

I'm also counting down the days till I get Cover Run in my grubby little hands! :yess: I'm getting two cause I have a feeling that this GEM of a book is going places :wink1:

Also, I just want to wish you a speedy recovery. I know it's been rough and you've been a real trooper. Hang in there!

Welcome back, Allison, you've been missed!

Sorry to hear about some jackasses giving you a hard time.

Anyway I hope you come around more often and say "Hi".

You and Adam take care and I'm looking forward to getting my Batgirl, Poison Ivy, Harley and Supergirl statues as well as Adam's Cover Run! :rock :rock :rock

Hell yes. Your updates are the best part of this thread.

Don't worry about the other boards (they can go do things to themselves with a rusty chainsaw and an inappropriate orifice). This is the only one that matters, which should be evidenced by the fact that you'll never get that kind of treatment here. We won't stand for it. We love you guys. :love

And thanks for the Supergirl pic.

the most recent instance was when some collectors did not like the artwork that accompanied Adam's Mystique Comiquette. Their way of expressing their displeasure was to say that it was so amateur, it was obvious that Allison drew it. This comment was insulting on multiple levels. Beyond that, I've been dealing with crap from people for years, trying to post nicely and sometimes being successful. Ultimately I realized that people buy the statues regardless of the garbage they post online, and regardless of what I post online. So why should I tolerate the abuse?

Good plan. I can say that the sales numbers (and the book isn't even released yet) have been REALLY strong. I don't think (here's hoping I'm not jinxing myself) that the first edition will last very long.

Also, I just want to wish you a speedy recovery. I know it's been rough and you've been a real trooper. Hang in there!

Thanks; yeah I'm really battling in the trenches here. Doc's don't seem to be much help, and I'm just trying to find some sense of normalcy at the moment. Seeing a new Dr in about a month; maybe I can get some results then!

Very glad to see you back!

Very excited for Cover Run and the Wonder Woman #600 variant he did is fantastic :)

Hope to see you two at Emerald City Comic Con next year.

I know a bit off topic. Would be nice to know if the Cover Run book will be showcased at SDCC this year, so we can get our personal copies signed by the master himself. (And just as an aside, I'd like to get your signature too to cap it off).

I've been looking into this very thing! It turns out that the big DC booth isn't set up to do retail, so they won't have any there. Our friendly book-seller, Stuart Ng Books has ordered 20 copies. I am going to call him and let him know that DC won't have them; maybe he'll get more. I don't know if Budd Plant will have any, or how many they will have.

With this seeming shortness of supply, I'm working on getting 200 copies of the book to have at our booth. BUT: I can't get them wholesale, and the cost of shipping them out there is about a grand. Considering all of the book related costs put together, I'm paying about cover price for them. So I will have to sell these 200 copies well above retail. I expect people to give me ____ about that, but it can't be helped.

Something else to think about is this: According to the numbers I have been getting, the edition is more than 75% sold out, and it hasn't even been released yet! So I'm thinking by the time San Diego rolls around, there may not be many 1st editions left. That may help take the sting out of what I am going to have to retail these for. And of course, Adam will be present to sign them. :chew

This is only my opinion... I like the Batgirl over the Supergirl... have both on order... will have the complete run:yess:
