Statue Cover Girls of the DC Universe

I just went to Barnes & Noble's website, to try and see what stores had the largest inventory of Adam's book in our area. I thought it would be fun to get a photo of Adam in the store with it. Their search engine says every store within 50 miles of Atlanta is sold out. I did the same search with Borders, and got the same results. It only released at book stores today. Is anyone having a hard time getting Cover Run?

As for Huntress... I know she is a very popular member of the Bat-family. But she's a hard sell for Adam. Its never been a character he could really connect with, and part of what makes his artwork so popular is that he approaches his character drawings by trying to think about WHO they are, and not just what they look like. But he knows that a good number of fans like her, so it could still be a possibility. I'll mention it to him when I mention Fire and Ice.

I think the retcon of Helena into earth1 continuity hurt the character, she's much more interesting as the daughter of Bruce and Selena. The combination of hero and criminal and the cat and bat could make her really interesting as a cover or statue.

Those two, for sure. I suppose Supergirl is slated for Nov/Dec. I passed on Batgirl.

There's no set number on the statues. I think DC Direct is content to make them as long as fans want them. I could be wrong, but I've not heard a number thrown around as to the quantity of characters they plan to do. And there is one statue in the works at this time.

I wonder if DC Direct will do another Wonder Woman in her new costume. They should strike while the iron is hot. I get the feeling that this costume won't be around for more then a year or so.

Hawkgirl would be cool. Still have my fingers crossed for Starfire and Raven. My one other hold-out was Huntress, but my hopes aren't quite what they once were.

I love that picture from AH, but I think this is a weak rendition of Oracle. She looks to mousey for my taste. I like her better when she is drawn prettier and with longer hair.

I agree that the new WW costume won't be around for more than a year or two.

WW's costume is waaaay to iconic to change forever. Just look at Spider-Man and the Black costume. Same deal.

I guess sells where down for the WW series and thought it would have been great to change her costume. I like the time she had short hair, but her new costume seems lame and not at all original. Sorry Jim you get no stars from me. I enjoy Spider Man black suit a simple and great costume, but I agree the iconic suit can't be sub. That's not forget that horrible Iron Spidey suit. If you guys like it that's cool. Anyway does anyone know if Adam will still continue this line? I think we need another villain.
