Another pic has come up...I think she looks much better from this perspective

Is this actually based on a cover by AH! I love the one of Supergirl on a comet though...but i think it might not translate into a statue line where everybody is erect...i mean either standing of flying straight up...

so... is DC leaving everyone in the dust until the proposed release dates (June 9th or the 16th for some like Amazon) then have [surprise!] "ORDER CANCELED" show up on the paper when your store is expecting to have her in or are they going to inform people before then who don't look at DC Direct?

I knew it had to be too good to be true, Harley's statue AND the Joker's Asylum Harley Quinn comic releasing the same day...

Huh. While the "DD" Bats was a little off from how fans know Barbara I still liked it, this one seems very meh the more I look at it. Its a good statue but doesn't really feel Adam Hughes to me...

While it looks nice, this is not a must for me. It doesn't have the draw like the previous ones. I think I'll stop with the release Poison Ivy.

Is the delay on Harley Quinn official? or could DCD's new date be for the following wave? Everyone seems to still have span of June 6-16 down for the ship/ sale date [including Diamond]

Diamond is never sure of anything. Diamond my have got a notice, but was to lazy to update there info. DC would wait 2 to 3 months after the 1st wave release to announce there 2nd wave, but then again I'm just going by past experience. This happen in the Catwoman release I think she was push back almost 2 months and Diamond was a week or weeks late to inform the public. Can't remember.

I gladly ordered all of the DC Hughes pieces to date. However, I totally passed on the Batgirl. Sadly, I didn't think it fit the line at all. Nowadays, I just can't seem to justify paying for a piece I don't like even if it's supposed to go with a line I'm into buying.

Dont know why. but this one reminds me of The New Yorker magazine artwork.

Yeah, I agree that would have been a more interesting option, but...

Another pic from a different angle

Thanks BC ;)

It looks good. But, I have an issue with my statues that are looking up. My collection is at eye level, so when the character is looking up, all I see is a chin

It doesn't look very Adam Hughesy.
Is this line moving in a different direction?
At the very least, this is a marked improvement (imho) on the Batgirl.

agreed. The first time I saw that, I didnt think it was from the Covergirls line

Wha? Ivy was suppose to be in September! great, now we probably wont see her until 2011.

They are pushing back the good ones, hoping you forget about batgirl

I'm indifferent on the future statues of the Cover Girls series. While I am a fan of the pin-up style, Batgirl voids the 'serious/mature-tone' consistency with the other statues from this line and I would have probably prefer the one AH sent in first. For me, Supergirl seems to be lacking somehow but it is nice at the same time, I'm looking forward to seeing how it progresses in development of what they keep and change in design.
