Ha, I just went back and found when one of the codes was posted last year at about 9:40pm PST. Reading through all of the posts brings back memories.

Two years ago I was able to get like $75 and last year I got $40 or so and felt like I let myself down by missing so many codes haha

They made it tougher last year. 2 years ago the codes lasted hours, last year minutes, and then there was the long agonizing wait for the next code.

There were like 4 or 5 codes that I missed by minutes and I was so angry at myself for not paying attention to my phone. It's so sad haha

No doubt. Those ghost codes were super quick. I wonder if they go back to the longer duration? After last year they got so many calls and complaints about fakes, duratio, etc. Will be interesting to see what or if they do that this year.

Just spent some time reading through a lot of posts from last year. Looks like there was a total of 12 five dollar codes. Four of them were sent out in email newsletters, so make sure you're signed up for the general SSC newsletter. Those codes were good for a day or more. The rest were somewhere between 10-30 minutes long and then they were gone. The ones that happen overnight were open longer, the ones in the middle of the day were faster.

Also a lot of big discounts on slow moving 1/6 products. And a lot of contests. Might want to make sure you have Susan and Chicky's email addresses real handy for the Twitter contests.

I dont quite remember how spooktacular works, i know theres a page on sideshow for all the discounted figures but i never participated in the code hunt so Im confused, do they add up? Because 5 buck coupons on these guys isnt much, all i want is 25 or 30 discount lol

Yes!! download the Tapatalk app on IOS or Android once you find sideshow freaks forum log in, then there will be a star in the upper right of each topic to subscribe to the topic. Look out for spooktacular, they may bring the discount codes back. I have an office job so I have my phone next to me and see the forum throughout the day while at work so its awesome and quick to access.

There's a page to add these small codes and they add on to your reward balance. So at the end of spook your balance could be $40 or $50 or $60 higher depending on how obsessive you get. Good times.

I can't wait to see what Sideshow tempts me with on discount during Spook. I didn't buy a whole lot last year but my Hot Toys collection has expanded quite a bit with all the discounts they have offered throughout the year.

I'm really excited for my first Spook. Looking forward to the camaraderie, the discounts, the reward point giveaways, and the exhilarating hunt for the codes. It sounds like a lot of fun!

I honestly prefer the Spook of old. I miss the chat and Spook box the most. Loved it.
