My shield is from a guy on the RPF forum, and from what I have heard he is still making them. He said he was done a couple of months ago, but people keep posting on his thread asking for one. He'd be crazy not to make more, unless he isn't making much money on them?

And thanks the photos are always my favorite part of the conventions. We're heading over to Phoenix CC this weekend. Hoping they have the air conditioning cranked up or we may not dress up at all.

Cousin Dave seems to be making more, someone posted a photo of a new one and it has grooves on the inside as well and now I am super jealous

Considering the plastic shields go for $80+ on ebay, and even a duplicate head from Headplay is $30-35, I couldn't pass up the real thing for $130. Not to mention, heck a "real" body like a TTM is pretty expensive these days.

Also, I like having "exclusive" or rare stuff. That's just me. Oh, and Cap is my favorite super hero. So there's that.

That said, once all of these Cap figures come out, there will probably be an onslaught of shields available on Ebay etc.

I find it hard to believe even shields that are flaking are trying to be sold for $70+ and good ones are over $100 . I hope when these are released it drives the prices waaaay down.

There are only 5-6 shields on Ebay right now cheapest one is $80.

With the new cap figures coming out soon, the shield prices should decrease. So if you want to sell it, I would say sooner rather than later.

^^^ Gotcha. At the moment, I have my Red Skull standing with a foot on top of it, but if I could make a good bit of $$$ to go into another figure or extra parts, I might do that instead.
