My guess would be because FB and Twitter can be used to "get the word out" to new customers. As generous as it is for them to give stuff away, I'm sure the main reason for doing it is to try to bring in fresh eyes and new customers. That's not going to happen by giving away stuff here. That's just my guess.

Okay guys, you can all go back to standing on your lawns telling those damn kids to turn their music down. Seriously I'm not obsessed with Facebook or Twitter but they have their place in modern society there's no question. They're good marketing tools and any company that's smart keeps a presence on them.

I caught a couple of Socially Transmitted Diseases during Spook but it was worth it.

I won a contest here on Sideshow Collectors last month. I received it a few weeks later no problems at all. I also won a facebook sideshow contest as well. That one I had to pay shipping.

But 'The Group' is advertised on Sideshows FB page and open to anyone who visits it.
It has nothing to do with this site and suggesting you're helping members here win a prize is very misleading.

There has been a verrrrrrrrry occasional giveaway here, which is nice. Other than that the only ones I recall are during Spook.

This site has a ton of members, not sure why it takes a back, back, back burner to ****book and Twatter.

Probably because of posts like the above that start complaining about the contests even before they start. I'm sure they have better things to do then cater to a bunch of whiners who are just going to find a way to complain no matter how generous they are.

I don't sleep much and Coke is disgusting.

I'm not complaining about the FB contest I simply pointed out that the 'group' was open to anyone so Cofo saying he was helping Freaks win prizes was misleading.

My point is that it would be nice if they showed equal or near equal or remotely equal interest in doing contests for the community that already supports them. Call it what you want.

I bet most of the FB entrants have never put a penny in Sideshows pockets.
If giving stuff away on social networks gets them more customers then good luck to them. I support SS directly via my bank account.
I'll stick to just ordering the things I love.

There are new giveaways practically every week that occur outside of our social feeds, so those are always available to those who aren't on twitter or Facebook. Almost every new PreOrder has a giveaway opportunity on the site. Right now there's a chance to win a TRex statue, Harley Quinn PF and I believe this month's newsletter giveaway is for a Batman PF.

We love (I love) y'all, the most dedicated of fans as well as those that are coming into the collecting arena, so hopefully the site and social giveaway opportunities can one day make more folks happy in the future. And mayhaps I can scrounge up a prize just for the freaks soon too....hmmmm.
