I used to work for a certain hardware company and worked closely with Apple for much of that time, some 10 years. Believe what you want, but everything they do is to make the best product. Period. Not necessarily the best product "possible" as considerations have to be made for the market, price points, margin, etc. But the best nonetheless. Usually at competitive pricing for equivalent hardware. How much does it cost to keep a $500 Windows system running? How about an OS update? One of those on a lower end system and you're already at the price of a better equipped Mac. Apple sells their OS for $0.

You left out "IMHO" before you listed all of your personal opinion. You also started with the strawmen, about what it takes to keep a $500 Win box running. If Apple had a comparable market share then it would be open to a lot more exploits, hacks, etc. When you have a niche market share, there's less for people to worry about and take care of. That's just a fact.

I didn't mention security nor did I mean to imply that. None of my opinion is humble, it's based on sweat equity and years working on everything. Seriously, you insult 200 innocent people behind their backs and have a problem because I'm posting opinion that can easily be verified as fact should you choose to look. I don't understand why some folks are so quick to request that others ignore what they write. If you didn't want a reaction, you wouldn't have posted, would you? See this is why I get on some nerves, because I don't sit back and just nod. Come on, if you're going to write BS, someone's going to call you on it. Next time you're talking to those 200 people, let them know how you feel.

I've never understood the hate-on some people have for Apple. It's like hating a hammer and using only a screwdriver. IMO, it's preferable to have an assortment of tools. But everyone's free to hate whomever/whatever they want.

I rib them to their face and they laugh. Yes, I posted to get a reaction... You're hilarious, acting like everything you wrote is the gospel, fact, etc. while ignoring other opinions/facts. For every fact you can come up with to support what you say, guess who can do the same? Pointless exercise.
